A first-take piano recording of a spontaneous jam on an very old song I once sang on. The original version of this power ballad is called "Guilty" and it was played and recorded by my former band, Fake the Band.

This is the result of me fooling around on a Casio Synthesizer and trying out my new Guitar Pedal. Some 60s flavoured psychedelic garage rock mixed with a little bit of funky weirdness. Don't know how that happened.

No one knows (why I did this)

A quick first-take cover version (except for the guitar solo, of which the second take was deemed sufficient) of a rather beautiful Green Day song. Macy's Day Parade was originally released in 2000 as the final track on the often overlooked album "Warning", a record which had a big impact on me at the time.

Me doing my favourite thing: Expanding a silly jam into a whole song - or in this case, into two songs. It gets a little trippy and psychedelic towards the end. Are you experienced?

Mind Eraser

This song evolved out of a guitar lick that came to me one dreadful night when ... no, jokes aside. I sort of liked the guitar part and then built the rest of the song around it. Kind of proud of that little bass solo in the middle. And please, excuse the vocal layers.

Replaced the original version with a slightly remixed one on 2014/07/11 (added acoustic guitar and distortion on the rhythm guitar during the "middle" part).

Whatever

This is based on a very old guitar figure that I wrote about ten years ago. I turned it into a full-band rock ballad kinda thing. Through some weird coincidence it seems to fit.

From time to time, I like to record some self-penned material by myself, more or less for fun. I hope you like it. This stuff could probably be categorized as "rock", but who cares anyway. I am by no means a professional with any profound knowledge of recording techniques, so these songs are being recorded with cheap equipment and software. It's mostly about doing something creative, really.
