with the one and only S0MBRA,
with his remix of 
Stellar Dendrites & V8COLA - black diamond.
(huge thank you for the support on the very
first one. appreciate it.)
after listening to both the original version
(literally just now lol. really sorry stellar)
and the remix. i kind of have to give
the number one spot to S0MBRA.
the Neo-Noir sound can be heard throughout the entire thing,
which makes this somewhat of a chilled out track.
either way. if i had to rank this remix. 10/10.

one of the greatest composers at the moment.
if this song didn't make you tear up.
you have ZERO feelings.
this remix came out on Neoluminum 2023: Side B.
and this is still an emotional track. 
either way. this gets a ranking of 20/10

next we go from a composer of greatness (Soris)
to the one of the greatest composers in horror.
AVANCE.
this album (I SAW THE SCREEN BLEED)
is my first and only 
favorite horror film.
if you haven't seen the movie
on YouTube. i recommend it.
i had a feeling judging from the cover
that there would be some sort of film 
to go with the album. and there was!
either way. this song, and
the album get a 9.5/10.

the drops are everywhere,
at the same time, all at once,
in a great way.

Returning to Unbeyond Anthologies after a stunning track on Idiosyncrasy Vol. 1 and multiple excellent techno cuts on their other alias released through the label, Ojela unleashes their new EP “Rhythmic Communication”.

Dense soundscapes and hauntingly vast melodies are the DNA of this eclectic EP, with the beautiful opening title track setting the stage for the rest of the project. “Modern” features dark basses and soaring melodics, leading well into the intimate dubstep shaker “Pressure Pulse”, made in collaboration with label inductee S0MBRA.

The energy picks up with “Into Your Ocean Of Thoughts”, an electrifying drum & bass track with equal parts beauty and impact, and the project closes out on “I Wanna Hold You”, wistful, eerie, and immaculately assembled in every facet. With this collection of songs, Ojela cements themselves as a master of emotional force and textured production woven together.

“‘Rhythmic Communication’ is my debut EP as Ojela, my ethereal and minimalist alias inspired by artists like DjRUM and Synkro. In this project, I blend liquid and experimental sounds, creating sonic landscapes that flow between precise rhythms and immersive atmospheres.” said Ojela. “The sound is deeply influenced by the maritime world—its waves, depths, and the quiet vastness of the sea. With the “intuition” remixes by Elira, koolcat, vurbank, and F/K returning in this new collection, they are accompanied by four new remixes that are sure to impress. Label inductee S0MBRA returns with an ethereal neo-noir take on “black diamond”, and Lilithpad makes her first appearance since Unbeyond Anthology One with a high energy rework of “the grid”.

X2H drops another remix on the label with his take on “frontrun 50cc”, showing off his individualistic sound design and unique touch, while label boss Scavenger closes out the new remixes with an incredibly oppressive and ominous remix of “undeniable”. Altogether, a diverse and dynamic collection that elaborates on the original project in fresh new ways.

Melding sci-fi with fantasy via the form of cold, deep, menacing 140 beats - DDD UK veteran Youngsta teams up with Costa Rica’s super duo Mucky Update on their futuristic four track slap down: The Curse. 

Taking inspiration in equal parts from Stranger Things as Dungeon and Dragons, the three producers piece together a body of tracks set to send their enemies to the abyss, and beyond - showcasing phenomenal technical prowess, sound design and a complete disregard for common decency.

Washing over you like a spell of satanic sorcery - the EP is cohesive in its manipulation of your very senses, disorientating, wonky, woozy and damn right nasty. 

The beats cut through like excalibur being brandished by a futuristic knight from a hostile alternate dimension - while the low frequencies flex subs like they are black holes enveloping the rave and all in attendance.

Completing their bold trilogy of EPs, S0MBRA lets loose the “Follow The River” EP through Unbeyond Anthologies.

More lush and hopeful than before, “Follow The River” evokes nature and growth in ways as of yet seen in the neo-noir maestro’s discography to this point. It also sees S0MBRA taking on even more genres, such as house and drum & bass.

Opener “River Theme”, one of two collaborations with LARA, blooms over its runtime with majestic acoustic flourishes, a hallmark of S0MBRA’s sound given a gorgeous new direction. “Puddles” delivers more of what fans have come to expect from the artist in a new lounge-driven package, driven by a brilliant leading flute and underpinnings of electric piano. “Bargain Busting” marks the most frenetic and fresh track of the project, a wild flurry of breaks and funky bass that crescendos in manic drill & bass style.

“You Lost Me” is another lounging cut and the most low-key in this package, seeping into your bones with a gripping synth melody carrying the song forward. The EP ends on the second LARA collab, “Half Full”, an optimistic closer to this trilogy of projects that features some of the most emotionally gripping sections of any S0MBRA release.

After a fiery streak of masterclass bass music, S0MBRA closes the book on what was started in “The Darkened Path Ahead” on their highest note yet, a sign of even more incredible music to come.
