Mike Griego returns to the label with the 'Foreign Affair' EP. 

It's been a subdued 2021 for Mike, who's focused much of the year on studio work. But after a brace of releases for The Soundgarden and Replug, he's back in the swing of things and his music means everything to us.

The EP opens with title track 'Foreign Affair', a bongo-led groover with silky smooth vibes. Huge kicks fill the low end as wafer-thin pads punctuate the deepness. Picking up pace midway, sonics and percussive layers increase the tempo before the main break, leading to an aquatic calm before powering into the second half. Next up, 'Erini' lays down a more traditional bass-led vibe. Deep and drenched in reverb, guitar licks light up the soundscape playfully melting into the percussive framework. A xylophone melody completes the picture. Finally, Mike drops a dub version of 'Foreign Affair' to round out the pack toughening up the original and putting more emphasis on the growling bass that syncopates the rhythm.

The 61st edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes - Pablo De Mattei aka Paul (AR) from Argentina. The Buenos-Aires born artist has been into the industry since the early 2000s, having worked at Radio Metro 95.1 FM and broadcasting his own show "Selections" every Saturday night for more than 14 consecutive years. In 2021 he launched "SAKURAS" - a new mix series as a part of Proton Radio's curator mix project. As a producer, Paul has released remarkable tracks on Perfecto, Selador, Sudbeat, Mango Alley and many more with frequent support from Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman to name a few. Without Words opens in a haze of filtered pads and distant whispers, the pulse only hinted at by a muted kick. Piano arpeggios drift in with long, airy delays, joined by a soft pluck lead whose low‑pass filter slowly opens, revealing harmonic detail.
The first lift blooms with a full kick and rolling bass groove, strings swelling in the background and breathing with the rhythm. In the break, the mix strips back to pads, whispers, and a single pluck motif, the reverb space expanding like a cathedral.
The second lift reintroduces the full groove with added percussion layers—rides and shakers—while the harmonic progression subtly shifts for emotional lift. The outro gradually releases each element, leaving only pads and fading whispers, dissolving into silence.

Mixed in Dolby Atmos, the track surrounds the listener with immersive depth, carrying them through a wordless narrative where movement and feeling speak louder than language.
