Sinister Bots

This is my first sample challenge entry since I’ve switched from Ableton Intro to Bitwig Studio. Ran the sample through Spleeter to get mostly just the piano out of it. Chopped it up, distorted it, pitch shifted it, and made it into a new melody that comes in at about 47 seconds in.

All of the drums were made using Bitwig’s E-drums. Used Bitwig’s Polymer synth in the first part of the track. The distorted bass is Ample Bass P Lite II, run through some amp, distortion, and saturation devices. The piano coming in at the end is a Vital patch I created, with saturation, a filter, and Noise Engineering’s Ruina on it.

I always enjoyed listening to chill hop and wanted to see if I can make a good beat. This is quite the accomplishment because this is my first beat, I messed with the DAW for a little bit but never created a completed track, so excited to share this with everyone. I am new so any advice is good advice.
