Northern Ireland's Hammer and fast rising Zambian-Scottish talent KILIMANJARO team up for the first time on a brand new EP on Hammer’s Remmah label, backed by a pair of remixes from Australia's own Tornado Wallace.

After only one 2022 studio session, the pair quickly found Hamilton's Italo-driven house sound to be a perfect compliment to the Glasgow-raised & London-based La Cheetah resident's blend of Afro & Amapiano-inspired melody-driven rhythms.

KILIMANJARO's vocals provide the hand-in-the-air hooks that make the EP's original tracks the insistent dancefloor heaters that are already set favourites for the tightly-nit crew of DJs who have had the track early on. For the remixes, Lewie Day aka Tornado Wallace brings a breaks-based, densely layered sound that brings to mind the irresistible early work of The Chemical Brothers.

"Josh and I first met in Dundee years ago - as soon as he moved down to London we got the studio session going and hit it off immediately. We quickly found an easy working dynamic with Josh's real natural flow on the 808 - when Josh jumped on the mic we knew we had something we both loved, making a couple of bangers on the first day" - Rory Hamilton aka Hammer.

We are delighted to present this special pair of tracks from Spanish producer and DJ Kiko Navarro on glorious 12″ vinyl, providing a glimpse of his much anticipated forthcoming album ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’.

Opening track ‘Twilight’ will need no introduction for crate diggers and 80’s club kids. A complete remaking of the Maze classic, Kiko’s version raises the tempo into deep house territory, retaining the dreamy, sensual feel of Frankie Beverly’s original.
Providing a sumptuous taste of the old-school, Kiko’s own acid-laden, energetic dub version of ‘Twilight’ is sure to wreak havoc on the dance-floor, with perhaps a little hint of good old fashioned euphoria as it reaches it’s synth string-filled climax.
On the B-Side ‘Cranc’ provides a raw, analogue, Detroit-esque synth jam, building an intense groove with an insistent, wrong-footing bassline underpinning dizzying arpeggios, jazzy stabs and warm chords.

Mysterious label AM is getting ready to unleash its fourth release. A-side contains two South-African 80’s Bubblegum tracks, revamped by young DJ and Amsterdam-based producer Perdu. He provided the tracks with delicate intros and rearranged them with new percussion, synths and deeper basslines. On the flip Afrobot delivers two kind of New Beat cuts, making the originals more abstract by some heavy chopping, reducing the amount of samples used, and adding disco breaks to the track Jungle. All in all a top shelf EP, our pick being this Perdu edit, "I Need Some Money", of a South African track from the late 80s which you'll have to guess. The record is handstamped with another drawing by Frank Koedood. Don't sleep on this one, it's gonna fly off the shelves !

Los Angeles-born, Berlin-based talent Huerta unleashes four remarkably rich cuts for Three Fingerz Musique's latest 12". This follows an outstanding run of releases on Dirt Crew, Amadeus and Let's Play House. 3FM004 is an innovatively crafted 4-track EP set to be an excellent summer soundtrack. The A side features two stunning compositions. "No Business Here" opens the EP with its 4/4 signature shuffled percussion, jazzy bass line and tantalizing piano licks. "Shed light" explores Huerta's melodic, gloomy side with more relaxed vibes, a tune that will make you travel into your deepest thoughts. On the flip side you'll find two irresistible productions. One of our personal bests is B1 track "Am Ende", a magical tune marked by its unique breaky rhythm complemented by rolling synth tones and a round chugging bass line: an instant classic. Closing the EP we have "Some Rig", a bumping low-end combines with crunchy, whipping hi hats to make this one perhaps the most club ready of the release. "Am Ende EP" is surely one of our best outputs to date, filled with character, its pushes forward fresh takes on classic conventions, and serves as a perfect marker of our vision.

Octo Octa and Lavonz remix DJ Q’s celebrated 2020 single ‘All That I Could’ / ’It’s You’ for Local Action's first release of 2021.

Octo Octa, fresh from the release of their celebrated mix CD for Fabric (together with partner Eris Drew) stretches ‘It’s You’ out to a six-minute bleep ‘n’ bass odyssey, while UKG veteran Lavonz (fka James Lavonz, one of Q’s personal favourite producers since his late 90s releases both solo and as half of Krush Groove) hones in on ‘All That I Could’’s vocal lead, pairing it with sweet keys that bring out the original’s R&B influence.
