Before kraft,kraftmatiks,or kraftworks was brought to life or his kraftsmanship was ever put to the test, Ashibuogwu .C. Michael,was just a kid with love for music,michael , the 4th child of a family of 5 kids,hailing from the south south side of Nigeria ,Delta state to be precise,a child of the 80's,born and raised in lagos state,"Lagos" the city he had gotten his education,both formal and informal,michael says "the streets of lagos is a classroom to many who wish to learn" and he is still taking classes,"growing up with my family in the city of lagos" exposed him to both sides of life,"being able to buy a dream and sometimes also knowing that tonight there might not be food on the table for dinner",this being the experiences that have beautifully crafted the one now known as Kraftmatiks to many..
KRAFTMATIKS as his journey began with dreams of being a Producer and songwriting artiste,just off the love he developed for music at his tender age,watching members of his family play various genres of music they were accustomed too, this fascination with music led "Kraft" into the Beautiful world of music,with no musical training of such,other than that he got from compulsory music lessons in elementary school and a keen ear and heart for the art form,he started Horning his skills,producing for then upcoming acts in his locality,Artists such as A-Q, Phenom ,Platinum Hustlers and a host of others.
  Kraft continued his quest to better his music by joining  a 3man crew called the SL-CITY DJ'S,with his goal still set at mind Kraft continued churning out quality beats and shopping his demos on the underground Nigerian and African HipHop circuit till he made his 1st major placements on arguably one of the best rappers out of Africa,the lyricists best known as "MODENINE" ,with Kraft lacing 5 classic songs on this masterpiece LP titled "E PLURIBUS ENUM" with artist MODE NINE. This work further builds a bond between Producer/Artist Kraftmatiks and the artiste Mode nine leading to the release of a joint mix-tape titled "Nigelbenskraftwork"- The soul edition.
  "Comfort is what makes a man loose the drive to grow" Various placements began opening up such as that of the legendary Nigerian DJ and of the best DJ in Africa award, Dj Jimmy Jatt.The Definition mix-tapes such as handling a couple of beats on the project. Kraft while working additionally for the likes of MODE 9 and Jimmy Jatt has also lent his production skills to local mix-tapes such as "half life" present "Maga must pay" mix-tape and also worked with the Nigerian based soul artist "DEVYNE" who won an international radio award in England,to Nigerian hip hop world magazine,TV program Hip on TV montage signature tune. Kraft's burgeoning talent has also not escaped the keen eyes of or rather ears of Africa's sensation,R&B, POP crooner, 2FACE IDIBIA,as the immensely famous and equally talented 2face,is working together with Kraft on his soon to be released album. Kraft also had the privilege to shop beats and ideas to the likes of Nas, Busta Rhymes,Rico Brooks of block entertainment ( T-pain and Young Joc's) management, John legend, Junior Reed and Talib Kweli during their visits to Nigeria. He has also done a beat presentation for a major South African music Tv station, Channel 'O', rap battle sponsored by Sprite proving a few beats for the battle, kraft who is ever working and improving his library and cataloge of work,working with poets,singers and musicians alike, kraft has is presently working with a TV production company "NULLOGIC" to co-present and produce talents that are being scouted on one of its tv program titled "CUT a DEMO" ,and this program is a sort of CSR - "Community Service Responsibly" ,a sort of way of giving back to up and coming musicians.
  Kraft's romance with music is dated back to the 90's (professionally being music in 2000) "digging the archives from my parents and brothers record collection,learning the rudiment of music and its techniques from various seasoned vet",yet creating a style for himself, Kraft has since come to embrace the diverse nature of music and isn't afraid to show his ever growing mind and love for music,which has made his interest grow from just wanting to produce hip hop,to the different genres of music hoping to delve into movie scores and other genres his not accustomed too and also writing more and more songs. Kraft's dream is to establish a school of arts to educate young people who are into arts&craft and wants to develop it because he remembers how difficult it was in the beginning.But Kraft is here to bear the torch. "Music is not just a delicious pastime for me,its life to me and its my desire to Kraft something ,sublime,beautiful and pure art out of my music,I am happy to be married to music and also hope to be eternally faithful to her".
