The Unity Underground crew are hyped to announce our first birthday party at FORGE Warehouse, Sheffield.

Unity Underground have been throwing some absolutely wicked Jungle and Drum & Bass parties over the last year or so and in that time we’ve grown to be one of the top parties in the city. To mark a year of activity we’re stepping things up in a big way to deliver a huge lineup across FORGE’s Main Room and Workroom spaces. Some of the best DJ's and MC's in the scene have played at Unity over the last 12 months, artists like Mantra, Equinox, Digital, Dead Man's Chest, MC Chickaboo, MC Gusto to name a few. Unity have also featured some of Sheffield's finest DJ's and MC's including Charla Green, Widdzy, MC Ballistikus plus loads more.

Unity Underground Show #011 Sep 2024 - RACH/King Chuga

Mixing to get stuff out of my system. Music works wonders as a therapeutic medium. By some strange twist of fate I unexpectedly lost both my parents in the span of 10 months. The brutal finality of these events turned my perspective on life upside down. I can't really say I've thoroughly dealt with whatever needs facing at this point, yet I do not turn away from it either. For now, the rawness and roughness of this wonderful music genre soothes my aches and the act of creating a story from these laboriously crafted tunes works wonders for my general mood. I hope it works for you as well.

A DJ with a distinct preference for dark and moody sounds, with the occasional indulgence into flat out agressive sounds, Uncut Anger has been active since 2001.

As a member of the now defunct Utreg Massive, Uncut Anger was known for the graveyard shifts with hard as nails drum & bass sets, incorporating the occasional hardcore techno sounds when the mood was right. His technical prowess behind the decks earned him gigs alongside the likes of Technical Itch, Limewax and Evol Intent.

As a counterbalance he anonymously donned the Beast of Legend moniker which allowed him to express his love for the deeper sounds in drum & bass. Independently from the Uncut Anger alias, this also got him appreciation from peers unaware of his angry moniker.

As years passed Uncut Anger's attention broadened, causing him to listen to other sounds and changing his studio equipment. No longer feeling the need to fit in a box or niche or feeling the pressure to score gigs, this allowed him to play just whatever he feels like. However, darkness is ever right around the corner.
