Danny Wabbit returns to the forefront with Manic, a carefully crafted five track EP that serves as a visceral journey through the psychological spectrum of the dancefloor.

The EP opens with the unexpected: 'Fear Is Nothing But A Tool', a cinematic dubstep intro to set a dark, preparatory tone. It then ignites with the title track 'Manic', a hypnotic and powerful techno cut built to induce peak-time frenzy.

Stripping techno back to its raw essence, 'Severed' delivers a minimalist homage to the genre's warehouse roots. This raw intensity then gives way to the meditative groove of 'Breath Work', a track centered on calming, pulsating rhythms. The EP closes with the soulful and uplifting vibes of 'That One House Track', the perfect euphoric finale to a long night.

First up are frequent label contributors Hertz Collision, who kick-off in style with “Loaded”, a no-nonsense four-to-the-floor club banger, that is sure to set the tone for everything that is to follow. A challenge that is readily accepted by A Thousand Details, who’s "Apollo 12” burns as powerful as the spaceship it is named after. An otherworldly experience that is kept in overdrive by Uun and his track “Chrysalis”, delivering his signature blend of spacing pads and driving percussion, paving the way for newcomer Stratum to close off the EP in proper fashion. His proven talent as a DJ to set mood on any dance floor is perfectly transcended into his debut track “A Fraction of Time”. All adding up to a superb grand total, making this EP an absolute must-have for the upcoming season.

In this new installment of the ABSCAST mix series we present Chimachine, one of our core artists and a Cuba's Techno Scene regular. With just a few years active as a DJ he has great support among the artists and ravers thanks to his well curated and dance-floor focused sets. 

Raw, muscular and hypnotic sounds that plays with textures and acid lines could describe the character of his sessions. Tons of influence from the 90s and 2000s and a great programming as well as a killer selection, smoother at times and more harder other times, are the elements that truly characterize him at his sets. Also great tracks released previously on the label and many more to come makes this Cuban asset a real diamond of the local scene.
