"Noaidi is a recently founded techno-project with roots in the northern mythology. The name, Noaidi, refers to the traditional spiritual guide in Sami Shamanism. With help of rhythmic drumming and a chanting mantra, an effort is made to transcend beyond our physical being in order to uncover and nurture our free soul.

Noaidi’s first release, Nordic Derail EP, is the first unique sound released on the Berlin-based record-label, Under Oath. It is a four-track journey in-between darkness and light, bringing you on a journey through threatening soundscapes with recurring relief in sight, like the night train arriving at its destinations in the platform light."

Brutal Honesty

i met sporty-o during the summer of 2007 whilst in LA djing... he was a mate of DJ lethal from House Of Pain / Limp Biskit. I was at lethals studio when we were introduced. we got on well and it was decided to fly back out in october 2007 and write tracks with sporty-o, lethal and crash berlin as well as pink enemy. i stayed out there for 6 weeks... it was awesome! we got loads done with sporty-o...

but as is always the way in breaks others were lazy in looking for their own vocalists and decided to jump on ours (naming no names!!! cough cough) and since then we decided not to water down our stuff and didnt get to write anymore with sporty-o which was a shame but no worries... we hooked up with wizard sleeve the following year and had great success with them so things happen for a reason!

this tune still goes off... it should of been a black noise tune really but it was so fun and summery it really had to be an aquasky release as its pure party times!

maybe one day in the future we will work with sporty again... the international businessman :)

Slam return to Soma with the slick, minimalistic and hypnotic Activate EP. With a focus firmly rooted on the dance floor, the duo explore deeper and more hypnotic regions on this new EP, with a varied selection of raw, driving yet stripped techno.

Title track Activate opens with deep, driving, pulsing rhythms and straight forward percussive elements, lead with hypnotic vocal loops. Quantum delves deeper as dubbed out reverb & delay saturates the tripped out acid bass sounds that flicker into existence as stripped yet effective drums create the intensity. Somnambulist continues the stripped back nature of the EP as subtle changes in FX give the track live whilst the swelling percussive elements drive the rhythms. Trsmit offers up a tougher yet still minimalistic approach to close out the EP. An intense and tension building atmosphere is created throughout the track as warping synths swell & filter against a backdrop of sparse yet effective percussion.
