DETOURNEY is an Undertale AU based on and set in an alternate timeline of Escape from the Dark World in which the tournament never continued past WR2.

Lancer begins to have second thoughts about humoring the Lightners, and calls off the tournament. With no hope of them returning to their home worlds, they spread out across the Dark World and find a place to call their own. Barney has a premonition of what will happen if this imbalance between light and dark persists, and brings it upon himself to get the gang back together.

Wolf is the Sans replacement. He wasn't very interested in engaging with the Dark World as far back as when he was eliminated from the tournament. Nowadays, as much as it can all still get on his nerves sometimes, he’s found good company in the Field of Hopes and Dreams that’s helped to remind him he doesn’t have to spend life solely in the fast lane.
