After the big success of our first EDIT SERIES with German chief DELFONIC, Nómada Records feels like doing a new edit series in order to keep paying a homage to the roots of HOUSE MUSIC. Nómada Records joins forces again with Marcus Lindner a.k.a DELFONIC to present DELFONIC EDITS Pt. II where genres such as Disco, Afro, Funk, and Boogie are the strong dish. As we know DELFONIC has created and managed plenty of labels and released music on well known labels such as Money $ex Records, Oye Records and Toy Tonics.

DELFONIC EDITS is a four track EP which opens with “Don’t Stop Dancing” a 70’s fresh dance track with a infectious pecussion, strong strings, warm synths and powerful vocals followed by “Into The Stars” a brazilian bombshell where boogie and funk match perfectly. Perfect track for chilin and start the night. The B-Side is a homage to afro funk and dance scene “Let The Music Take Control” a 70’s eclectic dance turned into an infectious deep mood dj that will make you dance all night long. and last but no least the release close with “Into The Galaxy” it’s an edit of one of the funkiest track ever made by rare disco rock band “WAR”.

Germany is not known for soul music, but some of the hottest disco artists of the 1970ies and 80ies were based in Germany. To be more precise, in Munich. Donna Summer, Moroder, Faltermeyer, Boney M or Silver Convention who created the „string disco sound“ came from Munich’s wild disco scene in the 1970ies. And that's the vibe you get with the new GOME guys. The 25 years old guys originally come from Munich. They have the Munich disco DNA. Which means: They feel the funk, they know about Soul music and good bass lines, they know how to groove (not to bang) and they have that slight sense of irony and easiness you need to make good disco music. (Some say the dark days of Berlin techno are over after Covid, Munich disco is the opposite.)

GOME are a live act. Their disco is played on several drum machines, keyboards, sequencers and microphone. (Check their live on Insta). Their first EP got massive props from the likes of Laurent Garnier („Love love love for this EP“) and other more funk oriented house DJs.

The new one goes further. It's 80ies disco. The first track „Teach you“ was produced in the raw style of early Prince or the legendary Sexual Harrassment. A pumping bass line, driving 808 beats and funky rap vocals is the only thing you need. Erobique, King of German disco and member of the band International Pony (DJ Koze & Cosmic DJ) did a stripped down remix showing that less is more.

Almost two years in the making, we are thrilled to finally welcome Aladdin to the label with his first offering on wax and our first solo effort, Boilermaker EP. The A-side opens up with ‘Say,’ a sample-house masterclass bridging seldom connected worlds. And in the A2 slot is ‘Victims of a System,’ a pummeling dancefloor heater full of oversized kick drums and irresistible vocal chops. 

The B-side doesn’t mess about either, kicking off with the feel-good cut ‘Whenever You Feel Down and Out,’ combining equal measures bass-churning ecstasy and melodic bliss. And closing out the EP is label favorite Ricky Razu, flipping ‘Victims’ into a mellowed-out remix steeped in signature late-night, hand-clapping goodness.
