Bawa, this is the second track from MANA EP produced by the Parisian Juan and released on the 13TH January on Black Hill Recordings subdivision from Underyourskin ... A percussive baselines is wiggled by a shamanic ritual soundscape before a subtle didgeridoo and an atmospheric creaking synth sound alternate before peaking in an African vocal sample. ‘BAWA‘ not only includes the purest elements of indigious people but links them with an edgy techhouse sound that results to a modern sound sculpture !

Let's go back to the source with our good old friend from Amselcom's label which has been believing in us since our beginnings ! The label keeps going on and is following an artistic direction that is simply gorgeous. Once again, Amselcom confirms us they are on top thanks to this track. A big fat track signed by Brussels Pony Club with the whole recipe. A well round kick, a bassline that sounds rather sub and a very energetic rhythmic until the break where all the synths take all their sense. And we got a vocal bonus... generally we are not huge fan but this time:  OH MY GOD !! For sure you will hear this track everywhere and it starts here ! Thank you Amselcom !

PREMIERE: Zakir - Ruhi (Just Emma Remix)  [Sol Selectas] 

The Sol Selectas family expands to Moscow Russia, with a debut EP from Zakir. 
The titles "Ruhi" and  "Meree Aatma" translate to the same meaning: "my Soul". These words are also terms of endearment for a person's lover, and Zakir tells the story of two Oriental love stories.  "Ruhi" is an Arabian tale with a magical oud, while  "Meree Aatma"  is an Indian romance with an enchanting flute.  The live instrumentation  blends beautifully with warm bass and arpeggios for an irrisistable groove. For the remix,  Just Emma from Under Your Skin Records, strips down the original "Ruhi", creating a deeper slow track of beautiful Arabesque techno. Sol Selectas label head Sabo transforms "Meree Aatma" into a percussive workout with lush strings and sitar for serious dance floor momentum.

Pig & Dan’s trend setting label Elevate signs contemporary talent Joran Van Pol for its next EP.

After letting Dubfire and Richie Hawtin fight it out to sign his first release, Joran van Pol has climbed to the very top of the techno tree. The Dutchman is now a mainstay at vital festivals from Awakenings to Tomorrowland and runs his own FADE label. His cinematic Techno sound is perfect for big rooms, and that is played out across three
brilliant new tracks on Elevate.

First up is ‘Outsider’, a brilliantly taught and tense roller with piston like drums and hits that are made for marching to. Rumbling bass speaks of a dystopian wasteland and searching synths survey the horizon in menacing fashion as the tension continues to build.
Also keeping you locked throughout is ‘Captured’, an eerie track with hypnotic drums and unsettling sirens that rise up and down and make for haunting listening. It’s a real mind melter.

Last but not least, the masterful ’Remember’ is built on rubbery, ticking and minimal drums with skittish claps and icy hi-hats all peeling off the groove as dark vocals dip in and out. It’s economical but efficient techno that is hugely evocative.

Once again here van Pol asserts himself as one of techno’s key players with a trio of terrific tracks.
