https://fanlink.tv/SYMMLP010-Biglink This July, our ‘Symmetry Selects’ compilation returns for its second instalment. 
The prequel was released in 2018 and showcased fresh music from, at the time, new and exciting upcoming producers such as DSP, Subtle Element, Rizzle and many more. 
Continuing this forward, we have collated tracks sent in from the past two years, refined this list down to 12 favourites and ‘Symmetry Selects 2’ is the result.
The release aims to share great music, from artists that are not necessarily well known yet and the tracks were picked in a similar way to Break’s albums; carefully balancing a wide range of flavours.
Tracks like ‘Fields of Green’ by Silloh and ‘Slow It Down’ by Reflektor ft. Leo Woods showcase deeper, more soulful aspects of the project, 
however the likes of S.Murk (‘Hat Spine’) and Boycot (‘Coppola’) bring a darker, more industrial edge.
Some works blend different elements together, like Dvice One’s jazz / neo soul inspired ‘Only You’ or Melysma’s reggae/dub influenced roller ‘Run Out’, whilst more established names also feature, such as Joakuim (with the infectious ‘Pirates’) and Jam Thieves (on tough stepper ‘Sinaloa’).
‘Symmetry Selects 2’ compiles some of the best submissions sent through to the label, with all artists making their debut appearance, in a project we are very proud of.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Underkind is a DJ and Producer who is currently based in Bristol, UK. Producing since the young age of fourteen, Underkind has banked twenty years of experience. Having recently completed his MA in Sound Production, Underkind has worked with the likes of Gorilla Tactics and Noise Test, as well as released music on Sydonia Recordings, Red Alfa Records and Division Bass. 

He's been performing at festivals and events now for many years including Boomtown, Membrain, Shindig, Jungle Fever & Gorilla Tactics just to name a few. Underkind moved to Bristol so that he could pursue music at the “major home of Bass”. As a multi-instrumentalist, Underkind focuses on creating “deep and technical electronic music to captivate the listener”.

Underkind’s discography to date consists of several releases including: ‘Symbiosis Ep’, ‘King Of Kings’, ‘The Discovery Ep’, ‘Maxim’, ‘The Creator’, ‘Sound Of A Dance’ and ‘Faked’.

Inspired by his ancestor James Baker Pyne, Underkind aims to continue creating new and uniquely artistic work. While travelling, he collects found sounds that he uses in his unique productions. He composes with a blend of software, hardware and live instrumental elements that fuse to form his “hybrid” style. 

This creativity was always a prevalent part of Underkind’s musical approach. Having previously lived with a barman who owned a fishbowl that he used to serve drinks, Underkind would record cars in the rain through the fishbowl to capture a recording which had a “sonic identity” that was his own.

If "The Year of the Rat" compilation last year demonstrated what the label was about, our latest compilation in the lunar calendar series "The Year of the Ox" might give you the hint that we aren’t backing down. We have curated a 12 track serve from some of our fave artists both local and global. 

We are excited to have onboard Austrian OGs, ROYGREEN & PROTONE, who take a detour from their jazzier side into no-nonsense halftime and LAKEWAY, whilst still fresh off the Med School boat, delivers a marvellous dark liquid club banger. 

We also have Asian-based artists representing in full force. Beijing’s rising big cheese RADIAX, Unchained’s roller studmuffin KRAY, Japan’s long-fringed wonderkid FETUS and Sino-Italian trio outfit FRACTALE - all brimming with burly bass weight. 

Unchained Recordings Dutch royalty SUBP YAO offers up yet another ‘make shit bang’ curveball and Russia’s CHAMPION SOUND shows how to recycle classic breakbeat for modern-day warehouse stomping. 

Stateside, Unchained crew member and skinny git, AIRSTRIKE makes his debut by embracing Unchained’s mutant bass ethos and disguises it in dirty, smelly, “roller” clothing with his tune Lion Up. 

Canadians GROVES and OAKK are back with two totally wrong face-tic wonky wobblers and we also welcome fresh outfit 3VS's (Akuratyde, Tellus and Monika) who have thoroughly owned this gorgeous, atmospheric yet menacing, sunrise belter.
