Jazzy Break (Edit) est une parenthèse feutrée où le groove rencontre l’élégance du jazz nocturne.

Dans une ambiance inspirée des univers Buddha Bar, Lounge et Chillout, le morceau s’installe sur un rythme lent et sophistiqué, porté par des basses profondes et des textures chaudes. Les percussions discrètes dessinent un mouvement fluide, comme une dérive dans un lounge aux lumières tamisées.

Le saxophone s’invite alors, suave et expressif, apportant une touche jazzy sensuelle qui glisse naturellement dans la composition. Ses notes racontent une histoire sans mots, entre nostalgie et raffinement.

Puis, une voix masculine apparaît, posée, presque murmurée. Elle ne chante pas, elle raconte, elle suggère… comme une pensée à voix haute dans la pénombre. Sa présence donne au morceau une dimension intime et cinématographique, comme une scène figée entre deux instants.

Jazzy Break (Edit) est une musique pour les nuits élégantes, les moments suspendus, les conversations à demi-mots.

Le rythme se fait discret.
Le sax s’exprime.
Et la voix vous guide dans une pause hors du temps.

Welcome to our first volume of our podcast series "WAYU Stories". 

We decided to create a new way for our artists and friends to share their stories with a recorded mix. The first Volume was created by Berlin based duo Hülshoff & Rheinländer. They will be releasing new music very soon on our label, so we thought it would make perfect sense for them to start our series.

Huhu!

Na, geht es Euch allen gut? Wir hoffen doch… 
Der Sommer neigt sich nun langsam dem Ende zu und wir begeben uns Richtung Herbst. 

Zeit die Club-Saison zu eröffnen.

Ein grandioses Sommerabschluss- und Jubiläumsset liegt hinter uns. Ein Set welches sich gewaschen hat und vor allem mal eine etwas andere Richtung als gewohnt eingeschlagen hat. Lieber @gabriel-vitel, uns fehlen immer noch die Worte - einfach nur: Geil!!! Tausend Dank und auf ein baldiges Treffen mit viel Kaffee und Kuchen...

So, und nu? Genau!!!
Auf zu neuen Ufern… 

Wir freuen uns sehr David „Guzy“ an unserer frisch gedeckten Kaffeetafel begrüßen zu dürfen. Nach einem netten Plausch, mit deliziösem Haselnussschnaps (danke an dieser Stelle an den Importeur Elektro Uwe), im Klunkerkranich in Berlin, und einigen entspannten Mails im Anschluss, hat der gute Mann für uns etwas richtig  feines selektiert. Guzy ist jemand bei dem  man den Eindruck hat, dass er Musik durch und durch lebt. 
Ständig auf Achse sein und dabei auch noch produzieren steht bei ihm scheinbar an erster Stelle. Wir glauben mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit zu wissen, dass man von diesem ungemein sympathischen Herrn in Zukunft noch sehr viel hören wird. Wir drücken ihm nach Kräften die Daumen, auf dass das alles so klappt, wie er es sich wünscht.

Lieber David, danke das Du Dir die Zeit genommen hast. 
Wir hoffen auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen und verbleiben mit herzlichen Grüßen!

Arana honed his musical ear composing on classical guitar and playing in rock bands as a teen in California. After moving to NYC for law school, he fell in love with dance music, taught himself to DJ as he juggled life as a corporate lawyer, and then launched his first Wobble parties in 2004 which ran until 2016. 

Using a 3-channel setup and an active mixing style, Arana's sets frequently push into live-remix terrain through looping, layering and fader cuts, with sometimes surprising movements between bright/uplifting and dark/dirty extremes. Whatever labels are attached to his style, Arana has an uncanny ability to hear the harmonic, rhythmic and melodic elements which inspire authentic movement and feeling on the dance floor.

Hello angels,

A mix made for The Gardens of Babylon and 'The Isolation Diaries' in Far North Queensland - in the tropical city of Cairns, Australia. This mix was made over the course of the last 3 weeks as our global 'shelter in place' unfolds.

Everyone has a different story even though we are all in this journey together. Kate has been living in NYC for the last 9 years, when she found herself caught in Australia on a mini tour when the pandemic struck....

Stirring a range of intense emotions, initially all that was on her mind was the heartbreak for the pain my home city, New York was experiencing. 

"While I count myself lucky to be far from the epicentre, my heart breaks wishing I could be there to help support New York. This mix is all about listening to your heart, honouring whatever you feel at any given moment. As the grieving and acceptance process unfolds, this mix also represents an unfurling of emotions, reflections and hopes for the future."

A sonic story of unexpected sounds, highs and lows ~ it might just make you dance a little too ;)

The Isolation Diaries - Kate Stein

It is with great joy to share the recording of a set I played last Saturday at the Sjöbergen nature republic. An oasis in the middle of Gothenburg where free spirits gather a few times per year to dance. It is such a special place and I felt like I was at a mini festival during a full moon and lunar eclipse. Just WOW!! Enjoy!!
