UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT is a reimagining of Storyshift, set in a post-pacifist timeline of Undertale. Many years after Monsterkind had finally been set free, Alphys suggested to her friends that they all dress up as each other for Halloween, playing off the whole "dressing up as monsters" thing that humans were still prone to doing. A lot of them really seemed to like the idea. So much so, that a certain ghostly, theatrical entertainment robot would be inspired to write a stage play for him and his friends to perform in.

Alphys is meant to represent Napstablook. In Mettaton's retelling of the events, unlike fellow researcher Papyrus, Alphys is much more than just an archeologist. She was once the Royal Scientist, but after stressful circumstances involving one of her close friends, she decided she needed to step down, unsure if she could continue handling her responsibilities, and has instead devoted her time to helping Papyrus research the Temple.

So, I have a very big emotional attachment to THE WORLD REVOLVING as a song. When I was still living with my dad, every time he'd leave the house, I would play it on the piano, on loop. The piano itself was my grandmothers', passed to my mother. I don't think I'll ever have the house space to inherit it, but it'd be lovely to someday. 

Anyways, this song gives me hope. It's my favorite song in the world, second being @saoirsedream 's "god knows i could tear us apart". (Check her out!) I'm going on a huge ramble here... what do I mean to say? 

Someday, I want to leave a musical legacy. When I get popular enough, I want to post original albums of VGM... I also want to make more music in person! Shoutout Edwinona. Her bandcamp's in my bio, and her room is super comfy. I would love to make music again there sometime. But, uh, yeah. Thanks for listening. And thanks to @doedreemurr for backseat mixing my shit. By the time she finishes her monologue, you two are far deeper down the catacombs. She seems to be looking for something.

Her attention turns to one of the pillars in the room. There appears to be something laying behind it. She goes out to grab it, and sure enough - it turned out to be a training dummy! (well, it's more of an abandoned mannequin than a dummy, but it's the spirit that counts!).

She puts down the worn-out model right up next to you, then instructs what you must do as she heads to the other side of the room to watch.

One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.
They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

Over the many years, humans have fallen down. All of which were different people.

Some were kind. Some were scared. Some were brave.
Some tried to fight. Some tried to run away.
Some stayed for a long, long time.

But only one set everyone free.
