Malcom "Spookaveli" Patterson was born and raised in South Louisiana. He spent his early childhood in Lafayette where his mom worked as a radio personality for the local Hip-Hop and R&B station, Q95.5. At the age of seven, he moved to Lake Charles where he attended grade school, and it was there he fell in love with the Southern sound. 

After graduating high school in 2009, Spook moved back to Lafayette to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2010, his music journey truly began when he teamed up with his lifelong engineering friend Haile "Mose" Moses and dove directly into the music scene. With plenty of truth and energy to offer the rap game, Spookaveli made a name for himself as a talented new artist. He built a significant fanbase, dropping track after track and releasing multiple mixtapes. His debut set of tracks and mixtapes became known for their Southern flare, unique delivery and authentic lyricism.

In 2015, after moving to the DMV, Spook found himself with an opportunity to delve deeper into the music scene. He started to develop relationships with other artists and DJ's all over the east coast from Atlanta to New York. His move to the DMV allowed Spook to grow as an artist, providing a new platform to display his talents.
