From the Southside of Glasgow now the south side of Berlin, previously most notably The Burrell Connection, but also Alfie and DJ59, is now fully under the alias Dream_E.

Kicking off the self-titled vinyl and digi imprint with a mix of Breaks, House & Techno, “Crushed” follows in hot pursuit of the acclaimed “Dreams On 22” Ambient / IDM album released last year on Pace Yourself and a number of releases via longtime fellow deejays, Craigie Knowes.

A donation will be made to The Encephalitis Society following each release.

PREMIERE: Dream_E - Love Mixxed

Resurfacing with their anticipated second iteration in a few months time, newly-launched Amsterdam platform One Eye Witness turns in a versatile second VA featuring the many flavoured likes of Robert Dietz, Z@p, Kasper Marott and New Members. Showcasing the label’s tireless search for new horizons and intrinsic lack of musical ideology, this new EP highlights talents whose shared ambition is to write the future of club music.

Berlin’s Robert Dietz serves up the first salvo, “EMQU EMJAY”, a lush and bouncy electro jam doing the splits between UK step, seaswept house and post-Rephlexian, Eastern-infused electronica. Reaching for much darker places, Z@p’s “YFM” pulls out an enslaving Knight Rider kind of nocturnal vibe, full with a powerhouse bass and mesmeric swing to keep dancers on their toes from start to finish. Gutsy, psy-op-ready material for when the lights shut off for good and club pressure raises up to suffocating levels.

Danish producer Kasper Marott is next with the swirling “Bleep”, cutting a path of doped-up, funky exhilaration across the dance floor. Drawing in a raging pool of acid and 8-bit tropes, Marott boasts unmatched skills when it comes to harnessing hella hectic solar-powered grooves. Pear affiliate New Members punches in last with “The Dink” - a hybrid dub slab joining the dots betwixt liquid jungle, fun-loving house and more out-there acid, reminiscent of Wink’s most hair-raising momentums but with a further breaks-luvin’ twist to it.

@@ka_is_playin is a Czech DJ now rooted in Berlin. End of 2021 she joined the Berlin based FLINTA collective BLVSH, which essentially kick-started her DJ endeavours. You can hear her play - oh well, a lot of different things! From techno and trance to breakbeat and bass, from soft and cuddly to hard and fast -  she truly is fond of it all. No matter the occasion, her sets will take you on a journey through sounds, feelings and self discovery.

Whitney's got lots of roots in the queer underground all over the globe. Her long running Rinse France show has hosted an incredible array of super talented friends and inspirations of ours. She's previously put out some killer music on her own label Chinotto Records as well as via Justin Cudmore, The Carry Nation, and Mike Servito's Major Records, and contributed to The Carry Nation's instant classic Full Tilt Carry Vol. 2 compilation for Nervous Records.

"In addition to bartending, Whitney Weiss has picked tobacco, run sound for a Paris cabaret, played banjo in a punk band, harvested grapes, DJed around the world, and worn a raccoon suit to sell chairs.
