Producers Kasper Bjørke and Jon Atli Helgasson’s second issue for the label, Bullschnitzel, continues in the futuristic techno and dark disco vein of preceding Correspondant releases, here injected with 80s post-punk and cold wave.
The EP’s opener, “I Love The Way You Hold My Hips”, struts at a steady 112 bpm, with an acoustic percussive structure offset by spaced- out synths and smoldering guitar riffs. The remix comes from Red Axes, a joint project from Tel Aviv-based producers and DJs Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, who run the track through a chemical bath for looser sound.
The Mansisters’ second original submission, “Bullschnitzel”, is a soundtrack for subversion and strange phenomena. Tension diffuses through the deployment of escalating drones, cut with off-key synth tunings and a brooding, regular pulse.
Correspondant label head Jennifer Cardini offers up a remix to round out the release.
The syncopated Roland TB-303 rhythms that drive her “Highway to Schnitzel” are adulterated with a heavy dose of acid, nodding toward the diverse dancefloors she’s worked in over two decades in electronic music.

Exclusive V 'La Nouvelle Epoque (Fred und Luna Remix)'

After premiering Fred und Luna's remix for Peter Pardeike's 'Love Supreme' back in September the Karlsruhe based musician is back with another remix, this for the mysterious artist V and his track 'La Nouvelle Epoque' on Le Temps Perdu. But what truly connects the previous Fred und Luna's remix and his current one is the story behind it. 

Before Rainer Buchmüller, how close friends call Fred und Luna, could work his 'Kraut-Skills' on Peter Pardeike's remix as well as on V's he had to overcome the burden of facing a completely crashed computer. But of course Rainer came up with a solution. The Karlsruhe resident jumped onto the next train to Berlin to meet up with his friend Achim Treu alias UFO Hawaii, who bailed Rainer out of this misery and helped him set up the remixes. And e voila here is the second one that was produced during Rainer's short visit in Berlin.

V's EP 'La Nouvelle Epoque' was released on Le Temps Perdu November 24th, 2017.

Olimpiada is a label that specialises in groove heavy slow motion big sounding dance tracks who last year released. Vlora Sun by Thomas Fruedenthal. Saka's latest track fits perfectly with the Tirana by way of Brighton outfit. Remix duties are covered by Tulioxi the Italian Stallion responsible for hits on Shara and Night Noise.
The result is a dream laden track full of live instrumentation, jazzy stabs and an irresistible groove accompanied by a gorgeous set of analogue sounds, guitar noises and a smooth as you like drum machine.
As winter warmers go, this one absolutely smells of the summertime. You can almost feel the breeze on your face as you hit play.

For their 2nd release, the not for profit Sinchi Music will be donating all proceeds to their Sinchi Foundation which supports indigenous peoples’ rights and the preservation of their culture and knowledge. Here they feature a trio of duos, with an original single from newcomers BarumBarum and remixes from acclaimed artists Khidja and SHMLSS. Andreja Salpe and Filip Polski hail from Macedonia and have worked together as BarumBarum since 2017. They create music which is heavily influenced by different cultures and formed with synths, guitars, bass guitar, tamboura, harmonica and more to create their unique sound. Their brilliantly original single ‘Ritual’ is a broody bit of rumbling dark disco with eerie guitar licks ringing out through the rumbling drums. It’s filled with analogue textures and is the sort of rugged cut to really standout in a set. Romanian duo Khidja have released on a host of major international labels including DFA, Hivern and Especial amongst others. They bring plenty of warped bass and heavy, chugging drums to their remix, which is spacious and absorbing throughout. Finally, long time Sinchi friends SHMLSS who run the Amsterdam XXX label, expertly rework the original with mechanical grooves that are stomping and stark, with metallic hits and gothic vocals, permeating through this most industrial disco groover. Sinchi Music continues to make a real mark with this latest excellent EP.

Exclusive Iñigo Vontier 'Don't Go Back'

Giving his audience a fortaste of what is yet to come Iñigo Vontier released his 'Xu Xu' EP a few weeks ago. Now his debut album, 'El Hijo Del Maiz', is basically ready to be dropped on Chloè's Lumière Noire Records, an album that varies between 'demented grooves, psychedelic take offs and imaginary comic strips of mystical rituals'. With the first exclusive track from the album, namely 'Don't Go Back', Iñigo Vontier draws refererence to the primarly named. 'Don't Go Back' stands out due its continuous groove and, first and foremost, because of its mental tonality switching chords that take its listeners on a mind-ride before creating a trance-like state of mind. The smoothly and melodically elaborated break supports the latter provoking one of these letting-go moments as the lead-synth and a newly introduced melody conflate into one pad, which in the end undergoes, as in the beginning, tonal changes adding just the right amount of edginess to the last chapter of the track's story.

Iñigo Vontier's album 'El Hijo Del Maiz' will be released on Lumière Noire Records on November 29th, 2019.
