The ever-foggy view and the liquid atmosphere promised calm and general silence. But, just contrary, lost beats and broken patterns emerge from beneath the entropy of the forest, from every fern shaking and it screams from the distance like a high definition, silent river. 

This is a collection of recordings in different days, spots, weather and machines through 2020 and 2021 to be arranged later on again around the summer months 2021 into a single trekking day following the music.

Katsu (Undulate/JP)

Lives in Kitakyushu, an industrial city located in the northernmost part of Kyushu. Started to DJ at the same time as the opening of Sound Space α in 2018.
Become Resident DJ when Regular party Undulate started at Sound Space a.

With the natural features of Kitakyushu as the basis of expression, he pursues sound based on deep nuances, drawing inspiration from things that cannot be explained, such as scratches and smudges of industrial products that are overflowing around us.

He is refining his style while being inspired by various wonderful artists. The expression method is greatly influenced by the environment of Sound Space α, and he will continue to pick up deep nuances that are not descriptive and reflect them in the sound.


九州の最北部に位置する工業都市、北九州在住。
2018年sound space αのopenと同時にDJ始動。
北九州という風土が表現の基盤にあって身の周りに溢れている工業製品の傷や滲みなど、説明できない物事からインスピレーションを得て、Deepなニュアンスを軸に鳴りを追求している。
拠点sound space αにてレギュラーパーティーUndulateが始まりResidentDJとなる。
共演する様々な素晴らしいアーティスト達の刺激を受けながら自身のプレイスタイルを磨いている。表現方法はSound Space αの環境から大きな影響を受けていて、これからも説明的でないDeepなニュアンスを拾い続け音に反映させていく。
