What a Bang Bang ?

Night in the desert isn’t silence — it’s a vast space that listens back. Somewhere beyond the dunes, a lone glow trembles on the horizon, close enough to promise rescue. You move toward it, but the sand behaves like water: your footprints vanish before you can turn around. The wind begins almost gentle, brushing the skin with dry grains, syncing to your breath, lulling you into a steady pulse.

Then the mirage arrives. Everything seems to level out — the horizon smooth, the air calm, your thoughts suddenly clear… too clear to be true. And that’s exactly where “Sandstorm” shifts its angle: the bass grows heavier, details ignite like stars in a moonless sky, and familiar landmarks dissolve, leaving you with nothing but an inner compass.

The finale doesn’t announce itself. The storm hits all at once — not with cheap aggression, but with pure scale: sand becomes a wall, wind turns into an engine, and the rhythm is the only solid thing to hold onto. This release is about how easily direction can slip away — and how precisely you can find yourself when everything unnecessary gets stripped from the world.

Binaural surround mix of “Broken Ecologies”, a 4 hour immersive 16.2 channel a/v installation presented at the historic Lorain Palace Theatre in Lorain, Ohio on September 17th 2016. Available in ultra high definition audio.

"Broken Ecologies" was a large scale 16.2 channel audio-visual installation by Jeremy Bible juxtaposing an ever evolving electro-acoustic sound field environment with stunning ultra high definition aerial cinematography. A project spanning thousands of miles across the United States. Aerial landscapes captured from the desert & mountain regions of the Southwestern United States alongside an immersive 16.2 channel score of compositions combining field recordings, electronic & acoustic instruments, with "Broken Ecologies" Bible constructs an immersive virtual environment which explores nature's relationship with itself in a future where man made technology outlives mankind. An apologetic opus to the planet in 30 movements spanning 4 hours. "Broken Ecologies" operates as a preface to Bible's award winning film "Human Savagery". jeremybible.com/broken-ecologies
