Neon Affair marks Ayū’s first solo EP on Harmony rec. The EP explores different genres and moods amidst electronic dance music. From the very beginning, Neon Affair is infused with hazy, sparkling sounds that add an exciting, yet supersonic touch to the fast-paced nature of the record.

Side A dives in with “Neon Affair” ‘s dance-floor-driven beats, oscillating between building drumline swells and weighty basslines, alongside “Sentient” whose bouncy and trancy-inspired rollers will guide you through the introspective and beyond.

The B-side, for beat seekers, embarks on a spacey journey of edgy progression, contrasting “Point Nemo” 's ecstatic vocals with the stardust melodies of “Space to Come.”

An entry into a dreamy universe with an IDM intro that captivates from the very first notes. The progression is slow, controlled and built with impeccable coherence. Aquatic samples and ethereal strings fit the mood perfectly while the abrupt exit at the end leaves a feeling of emptiness, like a metaphor for abandonment. A track beautiful and disturbing.

A majestic intro carried by impeccable drums promises much. But behind this façade lies a more redundant trance punctuated by a huge break that breaks the momentum. The dynamics are in no way diminished and the construction remains solid with an incredibly emotional synth lead that takes us back to the frontiers of the 90s.
