Boy Kortman is a Dutch based DJ and producer working under the alias Shalohim, focusing on Psychedelic, progressive dub, temple & world music.

Tribal Bass is a mixture of genres ranging from styles using idm-ish breakbeats and fusion trip-hop over ethnic instrumentals, global trap to psy-dub, experimental bass and glitch-hop. It is known as a danceable downtempo style for psy-heads and nu-school hippies and is usually plaid at chill out or second stage areas in European psychedelic festivals, but it also hits the main stages in US, AU, NZ and Can. For this summer we'd like to bring everyone closer together. To gather the global community of artists, visionaries, thinkers, doers, ... to unify in consciousness and vibration that was has been divided and separated for so long by indoctrination and cultures of dominance and unbalance.

As I recently crashed my HD and had to do a large investment to recover my data, I'm now on a spree of finishing music faster and just dropping whatever is ready, rather than keeping hundreds of projects open and saved aiming for perfection. 

In this spree different kind of beats and bobs will be released as Tribal Bass whitelabels and as singles through my Bandcamp page.

A while ago I almost lost all my data... This motivated me to recover it and then start finishing some work that's been on my drive for too long.

This track started off as a live recording with an access virus Ti2 synth and a Roland SH01a synth and an Elektron Rithm drumcomputer.

I did a lot of editing and extra sounddesign to balance the feeling of a wild acid experience.

I dubbed the style "acid trap"' back in the day and I have more of these hardware experiences coming out soon.
