Many years passed. ..

Disguised as just another plaything, the toys arrived, in boxes, sweet little glittery pills, shiny, sparkling, addictive.. Here a chorus from a Boston séance. There, a boxcar shampoo hook, sleepy Athens, Georgia style. Everywhere, cold Wire synth washes, sprinkles, jabs and prefab lilts sprouting. Stories from before, during and after the days of the great plains. Decidedly New Wave..

Executives played with the toys, they played and played, soon they became alive and broke rank, exploding with mischievous energy, sparking, fizzlin, and taking the suits down with 'em.

The Felt Tips began to form in late 2005 when Miguel Navarro arrived in Glasgow from Spain hoping to start a band and replied to Andrew Paterson’s 18 month old ad for band members.  Previously botched attempts meant that Andrew had pretty much given up on his own dreams of being in a band and he was at first reluctant to meet up. Fortunately Miguel persisted and soon the pair had formed a strong musical bond, aided by a shared love of certain indiepop bands (for instance, both regularly wore Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci t-shirts).  Andrew’s childhood friend Neil Masson soon joined on bass and the quartet was completed in 2008 with the arrival of Kevin ‘Hug’ Carroll on drums.  The band played in and around Glasgow for a while and released 3 singles on indiepop labels Cloudberry and Weepop.  More recently, the band released their acclaimed Scottish Arts Council funded album, Living and Growing, on Plastilina Records.  To support this, The Felt Tips have played various gigs around Europe and beyond, culminating in an appearance at the 2011 NYC Popfest.  In 2012, the band recorded their second album, Symbolic Violence, at CaVa studios in Glasgow, which they look forward to unleashing on you in early 2013.

Those Unfortunates are a London, UK based four piece, formed in 2013. Via their own label, Midnight Bell, they've released three limited edition cassette EPs, a bunch of proper singles, and in 2016 their debut LP, 'Nothing Isn't Beautiful'.
After a well earned rest, they return in 2023 with their second LP, Welcome to Woodberry Down.

As well as playing and co-curating regular London club night 'Life at the Top' with Walk Upright, Those Unfortunates have played gigs everywhere from the side of the street to the inside of a brewery and the window of a dress shop. They've thrice closed Aaahh Records' annual festival at the disused Oberberg-Brahlitz railway sation near Berlin, Germany, and they will be returning in 2016. 
In January 2014 they curated a free one-day festival of music and literature at Old St Mary's Church in Stoke Newington, entitled 'UnLondon' (www.unlondon.org). They'll be doing another one as soon as they get a spare moment.

Ghost Box is a record label for a group of artists exploring the musical history of a parallel world. The roster includes The Advisory Circle, The Focus Group,  Pye Corner Audio, Belbury Poly and Beautify Junkyards. Guest artists include Broadcast, Cavern of Anti-Matter, John Foxx and Paul Weller

The Fireworks are Matthew Rimell, Beth Arzy, Isabel Albiol, and Shaun Charman, based in London, Croydon, and Brighton, UK.

The Fireworks released two 7" vinyl singles (The Fireworks EP and Runaround) and a flexi-postcard of the Girls At Our Best! classic Getting Nowhere Fast - leading up to the brilliantly received LP and CD "Switch Me On" in 2015, and 10" EP Black and Blue in July 2016. 

Original co-singer Emma Hall moved on after Black and Blue, but the band are delighted to announce her replacement as Beth Arzy (The Luxembourg Signal / Trembling Blue Stars), along with the recording of new songs.   

The band have played around the UK, Germany and Spain, including London, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, Southampton, Brighton, Rochester, the Indietracks Festival in Derbyshire, Berlin, Hamburg and the Lemon Pop Festival in Murcia, and received extensive airplay on BBC 6 Music (including Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq and Gideon Coe), KEXP (Kevin Cole) and around the world.
