The Austrian born artist Alpha Tracks will be kicking off the very first release of Slash with 2 original tracks and remixes from Format (aka Orlando Voorn) and Slash founder KI/KI. Previous releases on BPitch, Blue Hour and Morbid were already a showcase of pure craftsmanship by Alpha Tracks, now on Slash he’s showing his consistency yet again, delivering high quality as always. With a love for analog hardware sound, the producer turns fast paced bangers, with a bit of imagination, into beautiful subtle techno ballads. Always with their own story to tell, while never losing his focus on the drive and ready to bring audiences around the globe into a trance.

Orlando Voorn’s alias Format keeps the energy high with but smooths out the ride for the remix of the original, where bumpy synths bubble and echo, keeping you interested until the very last second.

Remixing the last track is label owner KI/KI unleashing her first music into the world. Her remix are inspired by '90s rave memories which she never got to experience. Creating a completely different atmosphere with bubbly off beat bass, anthemic arps and a clever use of arrangement making this a standout remix.

After debuting Adiel’s ‘Outer Space’ with the compilation’s announcement last week, today we unveil another taste of the album in ‘Heartbreaker’ from London based purveyor of blistering techno, Manni Dee.

A high-octane burst of intensely rhythmic club music, ‘Heartbreaker’ is characterised by a hypnotic looping vocal line that metamorphoses at will, inviting the listener to get lost in its devastating groove. Complete with chest rattling kicks and expansive synth lines that draw the listener in, the track snaps into a truly impactful percussive break that allows Manni Dee to masterfully control the chaos unfolding on the dancefloor. A deliciously industrial cut of unrelenting techno - ‘Heartbreaker’ remains inherently infectious throughout, riding the perfect balance between a track that has the potential to provide an unforgettable moment in cavernous warehouses or sweat soaked basements.

As 2022 draws to a close, French artist KMYLE makes his Soma debut with the Sentinel EP, a multifaceted release that draws upon his years of production experience to deliver a deep, powerful and emotive release. Title track Sentinel gets the ball rolling with its lush melodic content that evolves gradually, building tension with the perfect use of FX throughout. The darker, melancholic tones of Exode
are the perfect follow up. Sweeping, haunting pads form the back bone while stripped percussive elements deliver a solid rhythm. The pace quickens on Remparts but KMYLE still retains his dark and foreboding atmospheres. The most direct track of the EP, driving drums and powerful, emotive synths provide depth in layers. Architectural Source closes out the EP as
jacked up drums lead the charge with electrifying synth stabs pushing the rhythm before glistening, ethereal pads delve deep.

We're kicking off the year with a fresh mix by Locus Error, a techno DJ from Nijmegen, in which scene she has already made quite a name for herself. With her groovy, uplifting techno and bouncy basslines, she already won over many audiences. This she proves with her residencies for Planet Rose, Open Source Radio and BALANS, but also with performances for Thuishaven, Bauhauz and Artdictive in Radion.

Her performances show a passion for music that started as an 8-year-old cellist at a music school in Belgium. A passion that she expresses, among other things, in the event and record label BALANS that she runs together with Tripeo. It also shows in the way in which she has helped Soundlab, the first DJ and producer student association in the Netherlands, rise to a higher level.
Be enchanted by her musical, but no less gruesome techno beats!
