It is an absolute pleasure to welcome Andreas to the Journey Series, as we celebrate 200 episodes! I want to thank everyone for their continuous support, and special thanks to all the artists that contributed to this series. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without you!

Hello everyone. I was honored when Adrian asked me to record the 200th episode for the Magician on Duty Journey Series. 

For this special occasion, I want to take you on a journey back in time to my teenage self falling in love with electronic music for the first time. I grew up with most of these songs and associate many special moments with them that I shared with special people. 

I think back to this time very fondly and would like to thank everyone who accompanied me on my personal journey.

But now it's time to buckle up and enjoy the trip. 

I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

We're finally here! and we are super excited to share the first Concast episode with you! Be sure that this mix is made with so much love and lots of bass :)

It's happening, I remember the first time my friend and I were talking about this dream of starting a collective in Jordan, where we can share our passion for slow music and build a community of like-minded people from all over the world.. and here we are now. After inviting some of our favorite artists to play in Amman, and not to forget, sharing plenty of wonderful experiences together. we decided to start this podcast series to share our love for music and I'm looking forward to what's coming next!

Magician on Duty is well known as a curator for both his successful Organic House label and his lovingly selected podcast series. He represents a new wave of supporting artists and projects that manifest a desire to incorporate other influences, moods and genres rather than explore the limited terrain of what’s already been established. 

Words can’t describe how happy and honoured we are to announce his contribution to the Easy Tiger “Striped” podcast series. He asked to give a lion tiger stripes to represent the stormy energy of his well selected musical journey. Close your eyes and let yourself drift with the pulsating waves of Magician on Duty <3

Striped #7 - Magician on Duty

It was late May in the witch’s forest, and finally the first real summer day of the year had arrived.  Hekske (the little witch), Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) and Lalita (the tree nymph) were just getting dressed after their daily bath in the nymph’s pond, when Bob The Owl suddenly landed on Hekske’s hand.  He had an urgent message to convey, as a visitor had just entered the forest.  Hekske instructed Bob to show their guest the way. The witches were very excited, as they only receive 1 visitor per year on average.
One hour later, their guest finally arrived. He turned out to be a middle-aged man with a weathered brown face, who was wearing long earth-colored clothes with several mysterious ornaments. The girls had never seen a person like this. He introduced himself as a Lakota shaman named Mahkah. After offering him a welcome drink and some forest berries, the witches got very intrigued and asked him a lot of questions. He was a great storyteller and the girls hung on his lips while he told tale after tale of the great culture and history of the Lakota people, as well as the majestic landscapes of the great plains. He also told some fearsome tales about the Wakinkyan, the thunder beings from the west. He was telling stories until midnight, while the witches huddled together around a bonfire and listened.
The Shaman was a very charming and pleasant person, with great sense of humor, making the girls erupt in giggles many times. Yet, despite being irresistibly funny he was also incredibly wise and at times he even managed to unsettle the girls with his sharp questions.
Lalita told the tale of her epic 7000 miles walk from South-East Asia to this forest in Flanders to fulfil her lifelong mission to protect the little oak tree (which is destined to become the future mother tree of the forest and from which she never strays more than 150 yards away). She proudly showed the tiny tree to their visitor, explaining that – despite being only 3 feet tall – it will grow into a majestic winter oak and live for 1000 years. She also told him that the little tree was growing very slowly because it was standing in the shadow of the giant beech tree, which took all the sunlight away. The shaman casually asked whether they were really sure that this tree was so extraordinary, as all trees are alike and all contain the same divine energy.

The next morning, the girls noticed that the mysterious shaman had left without saying goodbye. They were somewhat disappointed by his sudden departure, but soon they had other things to worry about as a  menacing thundershower was approaching from the west. Normally the girls always take shelter under the giant beech tree during a thunder shower, but this time they were in a different mood. As soon as it started to rain, they shucked off their clothes and started to dance in the pouring rain. They whirled around the forest, and even Lalita left her self-imposed 150 yards perimeter and left the little oak tree unattended. Their dance became more and more energetic while the torrential rain intensified and the thunder came frighteningly close. There was one particular bolt of lightning which was incredibly fierce, and was followed by a deafening thunder which was so powerful that it made the earth tremble. 
After the thunderstorm, everything became quiet again and the girls took some time to hug some trees of the forest. And for the very first time they felt the divine energy of the little future mother tree in each and every tree they hugged. However, after returning to the tiny oak tree, they were shocked to see that the giant beech tree split into 2 after being hit by lightning, and each half had crashed to the ground. After the initial panic, the girls were relieved to see that the tiny oak tree was unharmed … and standing in the sun for the very first time. Finally, the little tree had some space to grow …

💿 Nikotin im Niemandsland 💿

 ✍️ Das Rauchen von Tabakwaren bringt eine ganze Reihe von gesundheitlichen Nachteilen mit sich. Hingegen halten sich die Vorteile in überschaubaren Grenzen. Trotzdem wird in Deutschland extrem viel geraucht. Kann das nur an der stark süchtigmachenden Wirkung des Nikotins liegen? Teilweise bestimmt, jedoch sollte der zwischenmenschliche Benefit nicht unterschätzt werden. Rauchen ist ein geselliger, identitäts- und gemeinschaftsstiftender Vorgang. Eine gemeinsam gerauchte Zigarette verbindet und bleibt dennoch zwanglos. Der speziell riechende Glimmstängel ist eine ambivalente Angelegenheit. Unstrittig sind die langfristigen Nachteile für die menschliche Physis und Psyche. Wie bei so vielem empfiehlt es sich auch hier, bewusst zu konsumieren.

🎵 Die heutige Ausgabe des KataHaifisch Podcasts wurde von tadoh gestaltet und gemixt. Dieses knapp anderthalbstündige Set ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine tiefgründige Angelegenheit. Mystische Flächensounds treffen auf repetitive Shots und Lead-Synths, während angenehm treibende Rhythmuselemente das gesamte Frequenzspektakel umrahmen. Diese Kreation ist genau der richtige Sound für einen Moment der Entspannung und Besinnung. Ob in Gesellschaft von Freunden oder für sich alleine. Der Beginn des Wochenendes könnte nicht schöner sein.

San Miguel’s musical signature is defined by his various interests and influences of his travels through time and space which manifests itself into a soundscape of hypnotic spheres and deep driven basses. Often combined with folkloric elements and a range of organic instruments, his sound weaves unique tales that carries the audience gently and straight into an ecstatic dance experience. 

He is a master for clashing the styles and shows a deep instinct for timing and suspense as he draws a bow throughout his mixes that will move any dance-floor that thrives on powerful global beats and psychedelic rhythms. 

That special composition led him release his own productions on labels such as Lump Records, Underyourskin Records, Pipe & Pochet, LNDKHN, Cosmic Awakenings, Serafin Audio Imprint and Souq Records.

Together with LaniRose (@lanirose_monada), he launched his second electronic music label and sonic community „MŎNɅDɅ“ (@monada-project) in 2018, based by the philosophical monad as expression of the pure eternal essence which exists in every living being. 

Featuring talents from all over the earth, the label provides a playground for hand-picked and visionary sounds, expressing multicultural and contemporary beauty in modern simplicity.

▌I What’s your history with music in general and DJ-ing especially?
I started my journey in the music world at the age of 17 when I went on stage for the first time. It happened during a Vanilla Sky concert in Kyiv's Maydan Square, where I was in the fan-zone. Since then, my love for music has only grown stronger.

As a music journalist and photographer, I've had the privilege of attending many gigs and meeting big names like Linkin Park, Depeche Mode, RHCP, Placebo, and more.

I later ventured into social media, PR, and band management in the music industry. I organized festivals, parties, and lectures of all sizes in Ukraine. In 2019, I even got the opportunity to be part of the Sziget festival team.

It wasn't until the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that I discovered my passion for DJing. I met my DJing teacher while working on another music project and became fascinated by the beautiful DJ equipment. Despite initial doubts from my team, I dove into learning DJing with enthusiasm.

And now, in 2023, I've already performed in 90 gigs. I began DJing during the pandemic and faced the challenges of war in my country. In the summer of 2022, I went on my first European tour, playing at famous venues like Katerblau and Klunkerkranich, and performing at festivals such as Bucht der Traumer and Zugvogel fest. All of this became possible thanks to the amazing community I've built around myself.

▌II How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration?
I aim to showcase the most powerful music that currently captivates me, breaking the boundaries of what I "should" play. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about featuring the music of Ukrainian producers, so this set is brimming with incredible creations from my friends and other local creatives.

I dare say that if you turn up the volume on this mix, you might inadvertently start a mini festival.

▌III What’s your favorite club and what’s your favorite festival - explain why!
My favorite club is Kureni in Kyiv. It used to be an old restaurant specializing in Ukrainian cuisine. A few years ago, it underwent renovations and transformed into a stunning music venue. The main highlight of Kureni is its distinctive architecture, multiple levels, and its location in trees on the hills overlooking the Dnipro River. When you combine high-quality sound and a crowd of beautiful people, you truly experience the essence of Kureni.

In my opinion, the Bucht der Traumer festival in Germany is hands down my favorite festival experience. The picturesque location by the lake amidst the enchanting forest, combined with the captivating lighting and consistently incredible music across all stages, creates an unforgettable atmosphere.
