We are so proud to return with the third volume in our ground-breaking WHITE MINK : BLACK COTTON (Electro Swing vs Speakeasy Jazz) series of double albums. It may have taken us a while, but we hope it will have been worth the wait; Vol 3 could well be our best yet!

The first CD launched what was at the time, a new genre in the UK and went on to become an album-charting silver disc, attracting phenomenal critical acclaim and a devoted cult-following. "Electro Swings first landmark moment" said dance-music bible Mixmag prophetically. "Sublimely decadent" said Clash; "Perfect" said The Guardian.


Our launch party in late 2009 inspired a world-wide series of club nights with London's Electro Swing club continuing to this day and our own White Mink nights hosting numerous large-scale stages annually with artists of the calibre of Caravan Palace and Parov Stelar joining us across the UK from Glastonbury to Bestival, Latitude to Larmer Tree, Edinburgh to Brighton. WHITE MINK vol 3 picks up where we left off and includes another of label boss NICK HOLLYWOOD's impeccably put-together selections. From the down-tempo (and exclusive) opener of KID KASINO's Mink Schmink via more exclusives from SWING REPUBLIC and SQUIRREL NUT ZIPPERS to the more funky-house beats of a lost masterpiece by AARON UND PASCAL... this is quite simply 100% quality. The gold standard.

As before CD 2 - The BLACK COTTON side - is given over to vintage sounds and has it's own minimix on here too.... The album is available in beautifully packaged double CD digipack from all good record shops including Amazon and of course to download EVERYWHERE...

Vocalist secured prestigious PRS Momentum funding alongside hotly-tipped UK talent Lapsley and Years & Years

London-based vocalist Py releases her long-awaited next EP ‘Ghostdance’ on 30th March via her brand-new label, Tilehouse.

Recorded at Red Bull studios in Paris, ‘Ghostdance’ is a game-changer for Py; an EP focused solely on a voice that finally trusts what it has to say. Despite collaborating with a who’s who of contemporary producers in a short but successful career, it’s Py’s own perfectly crafted sound that remains at the fore of a mature and accomplished four-track EP.

Title-track ‘Ghostdance’ is rich with sultry sass, a throwback sound that transports you into sweaty, dance-fuelled times gone by, not sounding out of place blasting from the depths of Radio 1, whilst ‘Sealion’ inspires with its fluttering and raw multifaceted class.

‘Fresh Sheets’ flips proceedings into dark, smokey territory, packing one almighty emotional punch before ‘Glummywood’ rounds off the EP with a nod to old-school Py; twisted, and glitchy but pieced expertly together with the most distinctive of honey-coated tones.

A long-time collaborator of Ross Tones (Throwing Snow) who also produced the EP, Py recently featured on his critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Mosaic’ released via Houndstooth, as well as pairing up with US duo Odesza on recent single ‘Echoes’. Previously supported by Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe at Radio 1 who made recent single ‘Polyethers’ his prestigious ‘Next Hype’, Py is here to stay: and it’ll be all on her own terms.
