With 'Other Side' we welcome back Artem Kalalb under his new moniker Astral Base to ICONYC. With his long-awaited return to the label, Artem delivers a slice of beautiful summer vibes. He kicks things off nicely with a deep foundation of melancholic moodiness, as the track strolls effortlessly through melodic inspired deep grooves, while the infectious chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. An exquisite track from Artem to introduce his new moniker on ICONYC.

The first remix comes courtesy of Irish sensation Whoriskey, famed for his intricate and refined productions delivers a cool uplifting take while adding his own personal touch to give the track a truly unique feel. His rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The drive and energy are the key here, as this controlled gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

The second remix from Frezel is an equally stunning example of how to create deep and moody vibes. The Dutch producer who is known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal leitmotif of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

All the ingredients are there for another instant ICONYC classic and a fitting way to start the summer on ICONYC in style. Astral Base' 'Other Side' sees a worldwide release on July 15th, 2022. Don't miss out on this marvelous release.

Following the hugely successful release of their 'Symbiosis' debut album, on which Dutch duo Callecat took us on a blissed-out journey, collaborating with some of the best producers in progressive house music, it's now time for the remixes.

We're happy to announce that every single song of the LP will be remixed, and- like with the collaborating artists on the album- the people they've invited to rework the songs are nothing short of spectacular!

Introducing part 1 where we see progressive house super star Hernan Cattaneo team up with Australia based power house Jamie Stevens, giving their magic touch to 'Beyond Perceptions', a joined effort between Callecat and Nick Varon. And what to think of rising star Digital Mess who reworks 'Unified Formulas', originally a collaboration with Meeting Molly.

Take into account that this is only the beginning of a whole series of remix EPs to be released in the upcoming months and you'll realize that the whole 'Symbiosis' project you are witnessing is progressive house music history in the making!

Presenting their second release of 2025, D.J. MacIntyres SLC-6 Music welcomes Nimbus (BR) to the label for their debut single. Hailing from Brazil, Tom and Venao make up the newly coined Nimbus production moniker. First operating as a DJ duo, the pair founded UNNIT, an event promotion to support Brazils vibrant nightlife. As a producer Venao has already achieved measurable success across his four year solo career. Releases via Balkan Connection, Comet Records, Deep Down Music and Electronic Groove sit prominently on his discography, while support from progressive music trendsetters Ezequiel Arias, GMJ, Hernan Cattaneo and Mariano Mellino, amongst others, has propelled him into the forefront of Brazils burgeoning progressive scene. SLC-6 has also been a landing spot for Venao, with his label debut coming in May of last year. Now, paired with Tom as Nimbus, the duo make their production debut via SLC-6 with Spectral Illusion, alongside remixes from Leandro Murua and Dr Green. Spectral Illusion sets the tone for the Nimbus sound with an energetic peaktime flavour. Punishing kick drums and muscular grooves set the pace for skittered rhythms, arcane effects and fuzzed out arps to create a semi-conscious sonic journey, one that is sure to light up your dancefloor. Making his label debut with the first remix is Argentinian artist Leandro Murua, who arrives on the label following projects for Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Nick Warrens The Soundgarden. The Cordoba resident opts for a different mood and vibe, relying on swaying grooves, hypno-rhythms and slowburn progression to cast a meditative spell over the listener. Rounding out the release with the second and final interpretation of Spectral Illusion is SLC-6 label manager Dr Green. Beloved for his cross-cultural sound, the Sri Lankan artist brings a contemporary progressive vibe to the piece, expertly working exotic percussive arrangements over energized chord stabs and low slung grooves.
