'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

'Cid Inc’s Replug Records welcomes Nopi back to the label for his first solo project. Ukrainian artist Nopi brings a surreal beauty to his innovative brand of electronic composition. His colourful synth leads, exotic percussive arrangements and smooth, dancefloor minded grooves have made for a sound that is all his own. Emerging in 2019, Nopi has enjoyed a three-year creative swell, earning the praise of electronic music tastemakers such as Behrouz, Guy J, Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sebastian Leger and more; while All Day I Dream, Do Not Sit and TRYBESof have served as landing spots for his transcendent sound. Having made his Replug debut in 2020 with a collaborative project alongside progressive music star Dmitry Molosh, Nopi now returns to the trailblazing imprint for his first solo effort entitled ‘Nature In The Home’. 

 Continuing to tread the waters between progressive and organic house, Nopi leans closer to the former on first track ‘Nature In The Mountains After Mushrooms’. A dizzying dance floor slam powered by potent kick drums and hyperspace effects. Rather than burst into a whirlwind or electronic symphony, Nopi delivers tension through slow burn repetition, dodging expectations and emphasizing his conceptual charm, painting bucolic scenes of solitude, as hypnagogic effects unveil a semi-conscious dreamland, before the Ukrainian’s creative attitude reveals itself during an interlude of colourful synth swagger and mesmerizing progression. 

 Beneath the powerful tidal waves of 'Nature In The Mountains After Mushrooms' lies the spellbinding realities of 'Mistake Forest’. Packed to the hilt with drama and emotion, its adventurous spirit is something Nopi relishes in, as he flexes a trance-inducing side of his studio repertoire. A genuine exchange of melody and texture provide the narrative, where themes of introspection and hope get translated by fuzzed out vocal fragments, thought-provoking musicality and machine-gun style grooves. 

 Continuing on a similar monochrome are the nostalgic qualities of the collection’s final selection 'Capadocia’. Profoundly idyllic, it's a composition that further cements Nopi's elusive vision, as its buoyant beginnings morph into a meditative, consciousness-expanding conversion of musical ideas. Dark rebounding rhythms and rolling basslines set the course for rustic hooks, prismatic effects and metallic arps, which ultimately puts a stamp on this thematic collection from one of progressive music’s rising mavericks.'

Juicebox Music's 62nd release sees Mike Rish's 3-track EP "The Quest", originally released in late 2021, getting a fresh breath of life with a set of remixes. The Melbourne (Australia) based artist made his debut on our imprint with his deep, yet powerful remix of Simos Tagias' "Black Swan and swiftly followed it up with a magnificient release which earned high praises & support. Mike Rish furthered his sonic mark with releases on GMJ & Matter's 'meanwhile' as well as James Beetham's 'Last Night Music'. To celebrate "The Quest" EP, we called upon Kabi, EMPHI, Haen & MONé to rework all three tracks from the EP - "The Quest", "Enter" & "Tuumla".

First up is Buenos Aires (Argentina) based artist - Lucas Khabie aka Kabi, who makes his return to the imprint after his chart-topping "Lost In Roses" EP with K Loveski. His dreamy and club-effective style caught the attention of the progressive community, namely through his body of work on Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' & Mango's 'Mango Alley', to name a few. Releasing quality over quantity, his attention to detail is evident. For his latest offering, Kabi injects his signature style into Mike Rish's "The Quest", turning it into a deep yet driving interpretation whilst retaining the magical melodic moments.

Transensations welcomes Colombiam progressive duo NUFECTS back to the label for his debut EP 'MAGIC BOX' , alongside top notch remixes from NOBILIS and YUDI WATANABE. Formed by Johny Cortez and Carlos López, Nufects is one of the most revelant formations in the Colombian Progressive House scene, Its musical style is charatered by fresh grooves and a lot of melodic and harmonic content, with releases on imprints such as Univack, Just Movement , Yomo and others. First track "Magic Box" is a progressive gem filled with warm beats and smooth contoured bass, placid atmospheres build a progressive state of mind. Argentinian producer Nobilis, returns to the label with another great remix, adding a groove percussion creating a dancefloor delightfull version of the track. Brazilian producer Yudi Watanabe delivered the second interpretation of Magic Box, a strong remix, adding spacey effects and hypnotic arps imprinting his sound signature. The B side, "Pambelé" is a well crafted progressive roller, emerging melodies with crescent tonal tension and hypnotic grooves into a rolling bass providing perfect moments on the dance floor.

This EP is a must-have for the progressive house lovers. Make sure you don't miss it!

Amir Telem - Quiet Mind Blue Sky (D - Formation Remix) [Univack]

Returning for a further instalment of his long-running series whose first volume appeared in late 2017, Rick Pier O'Neil delivers three new original tracks on "One Side of the Underground, Vol. 6", while remixes come from Colombia and Australia.

Opening proceedings, the bristling bassline groove of "Anki" immediately supplies energy aplenty while heavy beat and atmospheric melodies flow across the 7-minute piece with ease. A hypnotic arpeggio emerges at the mid-point before powering into the second half in dynamic fashion. The lighter melodic air of "Namlus" showcases Rick's production talent as free-flowing harmonies and delicate string motifs join with deep bassline presence to create a rich filmic quality. Plucked synth passages enter the fray post-breakdown where the sonic collage paints a vivid picture. "Tlaloc" continues the oppressive bassline narrative of its partner tracks as shuffling hi-hats add a subtle urgency to proceedings. Pitched analogue synths and a fizzing LFO pattern pierce the mid-range midway, while a coruscating arp pulsates powerfully forwards into the latter stages before ebbing gently away.

A Colombian artist with a rapidly rising reputation, David Barragan is an artist who continues to impress via his Dabeat production moniker. Responsible for a host of production credits on the likes of Anjunadeep, Sprout and Sudbeat Music, his debut solo EP for Proton Music after collaborative work with fellow countryman Kamilo Sanclemente, saw "Equilibrium" illustrate an elegant touch and immaculate sense of rhythm upon its release in May 2022. Returning for his first solo remix, the Dabeat interpretation of "Ixchel" is full of intricate rhythmic flair as cascading rhythms blend with a deep bassline in a smooth new rework. Cleverly using the root melodic phrases from Rick Pier O'Neil's original, a raft of delicate new motifs and production material flows across the latter stages, culminating in a delicious and meandering arpeggio that provides a dance-friendly touch.

Another artist whose stock has risen rapidly among the underground dance fraternity, Zankee Gulati has witnessed a string of impressive releases from his adopted home in New South Wales. Quickly establishing himself in Sydney's club environment, Zankee's production work for the likes of Balance Music, Plattenbank and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, has established the Australian as a driving force. Making his Proton Music debut after a string of releases on Particles, most notably with his 2018 "Breathe" EP, the Zankee Gulati remix builds a new rolling groove around "Imperial" that immediately supplies club-friendly rhythms. Familiar refrains from Rick Pier O'Neil's original flow through the near 9-minute remix while sumptuous pads add new texture. A pulsating white-noise crescendo heralds a driving second half as the iconic main synth motif plays out post-breakdown with hypnotic ease.

Continuing to flourish topside with Dabeat and Zankee Gulati, Rick Pier O'Neil shows his mastery, "One Side of the Underground".
