Presenting their third release of the year, roku welcomes Blanka Barbara to the label for her debut EP. Born in Poland but now based in London, Blanka Barbara first emerged in 2020 with a series of releases via her Rabbit Records imprint. Quickly catching the attention of the progressive house and melodic techno communities, the next two years would see the classically trained pianist and composer go on to record projects for Lane 8's This Never Happened, Ziger's Eat My Hat Music, John OO Fleming's Joof Aura, Mango Alley and Proton's Particles. With 2023 projects for Juicebox Music and Balkan Connection already in the books, Blanka now adds roku to her resume with 'Ever Closer', alongside remixes from Danny Lloyd and Bondarev. 

The release concludes with Bondarev making his label debut with the lone interpretation of 'Descending Into Heaven'. Russian artist Bondarev has been a DJ for the better part of two decades, sharing the stage with some of progressive music's most iconic names, while operating as the booking manager for Saint Petersburg's famed WARPP Club. As a producer, Bondarev first emerged in 2017 with a release via Crossings, a project which would lead to key discography credits courtesy of aboriginal, Mango Alley, Proton's Particles and most recently via WARPP's label, where he operates as the AandR. Now, presenting his first remix of 2023, Bondarev debuts on roku with a powerful take on 'Descending Into Heaven'. Buoyant and energetic across the first movement, Bondarev continues his stylized ways with rippling grooves, flashing percussion and dark stabs creating a prophetic path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in an emotive yet thought provoking space; childlike motifs and sweeping harmonies converge, rising out of calming atmospheres as the interlude evolves, eventually giving way to a thunderous drop and energetic final movement.

Kryptone, the Sri Lankan producer, has made a remarkable debut in the music world with his release "Tales Of The Moon" on RYNTH. Over the years, he has honed his skills in music production, and this release is a testament to his talent and dedication. "Tales Of The Moon" is an exceptional track that has quickly made a standout in the world of organic house.

The original track, "Tales Of The Moon," is a delightful journey through a lush and hypnotic soundscape. Kryptone's production skills shine through, as he weaves a captivating story through his music. The track is filled with deep, immersive melodies and a rich tapestry of organic elements, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that draws listeners in.

In addition to the outstanding original, the remixes from Brian David and KaZkO add a unique twist to the release. Brian David's remix takes a more progressive approach, introducing a dynamic and evolving sound that complements the original's foundation. On the other hand, KaZkO's remix focuses on rhythm and beautiful synths, enhancing the ambiance of the original track. It's a testament to Kryptone's artistry that these remixes offer fresh perspectives while maintaining the essence of "Tales Of The Moon."

For our next Zero Tolerance release we head to Argentina with two new remixes from of Jamie Stevens' Black Ruby EP courtesy of Analog Jungs and EANP.

Analog Jungs provide an inspired journey with their remix of "Path of None". Their contribution is moody and percussive, injecting a tribal undertone reminiscent of the halcyon era which is both haunting and devastatingly driving.

EANP’s craftmanship is on full display with their remix of “Black Ruby Of Voldesad”. The duo provides a deep voyage into the depths of groove, expanding on the nuance’s of the original’s drum programming that harnesses hypnotic energy.

The EP is completed by the awesome remix from one of the most representative artists in Argentinian nowadays. FRAN GARAY @frangaraymusic uses his advance skills, and great talent to make a complex and atemporal revision of the original 'Anabiosis'. A perfect way to close this amazing release.

wo Brazilian artists, Tabbi (from São Paulo) and Leca (from Florianópolis), met in New York, thousands of miles from home, yet instantly recognized something familiar — the pulse of Brazilian soul beating in their hearts. Coming from opposite ends of the country, each carried her own accent, memories, and unique cultural repertoire.

What began as a simple musical exchange soon became something greater: the start of a true friendship and an artistic partnership that now binds us forever.

During the creation of Tom da Raiz, we realized we were composing more than just a song. We were weaving our stories together, translating into sounds and words what it means to be a woman, an artist, and a Brazilian living far from Brazil. This track is an intimate manifesto about belonging, the courage to follow one’s own path, and the resilience needed to keep the essence alive despite distance and challenges.

The vocal-poem, written in Portuguese, speaks of resistance, strength, and courage — an open letter to all women who, like us, hold on to their dreams and identities, even when the world seems to demand they bend:

- Deixa o tempo desenhar as respostas
- Nem tudo se pede, nem tudo se força
- O rio não apressa o encontro com o mar
- O vento não empurra o que já sabe voar…

Each verse is a reminder that there is strength in silence, beauty in waiting, and freedom in staying true to yourself. It’s about finding balance between longing and freedom, between memory and future.

The name Tom da Raiz is a tribute to what shapes and sustains us. It represents our origins, our stories, and the pride of being who we are. It’s the echo of our roots resonating, even oceans away, reminding us that everything essential remains.
