The Landeszeughaus is the world's largest 17th-century armoury preserved in its original state. A wide range of weapons, armour and accessories are spread over four storeys. It is a living memorial to a chequered, conflict-ridden past, whose bogeymen and prejudices are still with us. The building as an arms depot

The Universalmuseum Joanneum is considered the biggest of its kind in Central Europe. About 4,5 million items in the collections form the basis of a richly faceted ‘universal’ exhibition and events schedule. 

Founded as Austria’s first public museum in 1811, the Universalmuseum Joanneum presents a broad range of art, culture and the natural sciences at twelve architecturally valuable locations.
