We have just released our Autumn 2024 Proton Mix that we’ve been working on for a few months.
Proton is one of our home labels, we’ve released some of our favourite tracks with them including ‘The Loved Are Never Lost’, ‘A Moment’ and our remixes of Nick Muir’s ‘All One Word’.
What you may not know is that Proton are also a distributor of many labels across a whole host of genres, and when we do one of these mixes, we can select music from any of these labels, but also, only these labels.
This presents a unique challenge as there’s no definitive list of releases that are eligible, so a seriously deep dive is required to find music that we can use for a mix. For this mix we went through over a thousand releases to get to a shortlist of 40 tracks, of which we used 14.
It sounds laborious, but honestly, we love it. It is such a pleasure searching through music and unearthing these amazing tracks that often fly under the radar, and then being able to share them with you in these mixes.
So here we are, this latest Autumn Mix is the result of all that exploring and curating and we’re so happy with it. It has soundtracked a few late-night drives and after parties and it’s one we hope you’ll come back to time and again.
