It’s a slow sort of death, I think… but we are all dying, aren’t we? Couldn't we just figure out a way to do it together?

Maybe someday, in the far future, they’ll dig us up and find our bones intertwined.

The first time I saw a real human skeleton I felt a very peculiar sadness and shock inside of myself. It wasn't a reaction to the bones themselves, but to what had once covered them; the strength, beauty, and complexity they had once supported. An entire world had once rested in that skull. How much love, pain, happiness and grief had that frame supported?

As an artist sometimes you write about presence, and other times, absence. You use lyrics and music to run your finger around the shape left by something lost. This EP is negative space. It's the frame supporting something that should be there, but simply isn't. A harsh reminder of what once was; of an unchangeable breach in the order of things. Biting, but necessary. 

This is my sackcloth and ashes. This is my 7 stages all wrapped up into one. I didn't want to put most of these songs out. They all feel excruciatingly vulnerable. However, I decided I'd rather end my life pinned down, splayed out on a dissecting table than be stored away in formaldehyde, buried with my secrets.

So here I am. Here's the knife. Be gentle with me, please.

Oded Nir's original Power of the Hair Single was first released by Suntree Records in August 2011 and it also appeared on the 'Brasserie des Arts St. Tropez 2011' compilation of Happy Music/Universal Records together with some of the hottest names from dance music today. 
Now Suntree Records is back with another massive release featuring world class remixes from The Timewriter, Oded Nir and Sydney &amp; Lukez!

Power of the Hair (The Timewriter Remix) 
The Timewriter is renowned for some of the finest remixes in our Suntree Records catalogue and we are happy to have him back with us for this release. His remix of Power of the Hair is set to become a true deep house classic! The Timewriter uses King Dread James' vocals from the original mix in uniquely subtle way. The vocals are surrounded by the contagious bass and warm pads, which gives The Timewriter Remix a mood that feels like a classic deep house track.

Power of the Hair (Sydney &amp; Lukez remix) 
In their first remix duty for Suntree Records Sydney &amp; Lukez deliver a seductively smooth remix where the chunky beats complement the atmospheric strings. On top sits a silky bass that makes this remix packed and ready for the club! This 'Power of the Hair' remix will no doubt be picked up by real house music lovers all over the globe.

Power of the Hair (Oded Nir Lounge Mix) 
The final track on the EP is a remix of Power of the Hair by Oded Nir himself. This lounge mix is soulful like a late night bar but at the same time has the relaxed vibe of a lazy warm Sunday afternoon. This remix truly captures the outstanding musical talent of Oded Nir with its astonishing bass and electric guitar sections.

Power Of The Hair (Johnstar Headnod Dub Mix) 
Johnstar is also making his début appearance on Suntree Records in This ep and his remix will definetly leave a big impact on dance floors around the world .The Dutch Dj/producer with past releases on labels such as Toolroom and Stealth delivers a bombastic big floor mix with a catchy beat section and atmosphere that will make clubbers just get up and dance !
