With this special Solstice edition, Techgnosis Records' own sonics-slinging swamp mutant conscripts a slew serious artists to assist in summoning some simply standard-setting psytech creations. Exploring the deep, hypnotic and swampy side of the psychedelic techno aesthetic is a hallmark of this beloved VA series, and this edition sees the next step in it's natural evolution.

Spanning 11 tremendous tracks from 16 artists from across the globe, representing those both new and known to the Techgnosis faithful, Swamp Seance Vol. 4 is a guaranteed must-have release of the season. Psychedelic Techno - Nowadays quite a buzzword, since more and more Psy and Progressive Trance producers came up with a technoish side project. Yet the actual idea of Psychedelic Techno goes back further, and differs from the somewhat slow and clubby approach of many recent productions: Around 2000, acts like Spirallianz and Midi Miliz (today known as Extrawelt) or X-Dream merged deep and psychedelic sounds into hard, pumping Techno rhythms. Although this genre never became mainstream, it never vanished - which brings us to Alic. 
 
Since 2002, Alic keep up the original idea of Psychedelic Techno. In form of their passionate studio and live project, in form of their popular netlabel Digital Diamonds (founded in 2006) and formerly as A&Rs of Horns & Hoofs Entertainment. All these commitments strive to combine Psy-Trance and Progressive Techno in a fresh and innovative way, but without the drag of getting too clubby or too minimal.

With a long background in producing electronic music and performing as DJs, Alic are one of the most promising artists in the progressive Techno- and TechTrance-scene nowadays. Debut release on Digital Diamonds by F.I.E.L.D.Y from Bahnwärter Thiel/, Wannda, Munich. And it's a very special one, a homage to three different installations and art cars at Afrikaburn 2017. All track titles pay tribute to the camps and crews, where F.I.E.L.D.Y had the pleasure to play: slow and deep driving minimal techno at the Tree Of Life, immersive tribalistic atmospheres at The Dragon, a hypnotic and trippy interpretation of the Play at the Haupbahnhof by Wanderzrikus feat. vocals by Mo Libretto. Last but not least the title track get's pimped up by a melodic remix by 959er.
