Golden Gloves, a versatile Hip Hop group based out of Auburn CA,  are making some MAJOR noise on the West Coast. The lyrical and charismatic MC known as Wrecluse, along with the rythmatic and melodic  vocalist/MC Jmar, are rapidly and continuously making BIG moves in the NOR-CAL scene.
Both of these talented young artist come from a upbringing filled with music and theater. They were inspired by several well known artists from several genres such as-
-Atmosphere, Living Legends, KRS-ONE, Boyz II Men, The Eagles, Brother Ali, J Dilla, Eminem, Tupac, Nas, 213, Tech N9ne, Bob Marley, Wu-Tang, Immortal Technique, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, & Lauren Hill. Together, their unconditional love for REAL&QUALITY MUSIC ignited a message and legacy of their own.
In early 2011 the Gloves begin working in partnership with the Auburn Hip Hop Congress (AHHC). They give credit to business and promotion managers,Fritzo Tyler, Rocky Zapata & Natalie Pohley for really putting them on, and connecting them with the big stage as well as the local community.

In less then a 2 years of performing they have already blessed the stage with SEVERAL hip hop legends including-
-Zion I, Andre Nickatina, The Jacka, Too Short, The Grouch & Eligh of Living Legends, Scarub of Living Legends, Hollowtip, Percee P, One Below of Binary Star, and KRS-ONE.
They are also very connected with the local hip-hop scene in the Sacramento area as well, frequently rocking shows with local favorites such as- -Task One, Chozin, Addict Merchants, J Ross Parelli, J Ras of Soulifted, First Dirt, & Mercenary ENT.

But The Golden Gloves are about making a impact in much more then on the soapbox or in the booth. Alongside AHHC, they are making a difference in youth community involvement everyday by focusing on bridging the gap between adolescents and adults through the power of HIP HOP.
(i.e) Wrecluse teaches writing classes on vocab extension and subject matter through the Placer County Arts Council once a month at the Placer County Library. They are usually held on Thursdays and anyone is welcome. (for more info message us via reverb nation or facebook).
With plenty of projects in the works, the Gloves are currently exerting most of their focus into two BIG ones.
1. Finishing their firs full length EP, (MELODiC DiALECT VOL. 1).
2. Preparing for their first nation wide tour as part of the BIBT (Bring it Back- Warped Tour) which will begin in June 2013.

	Coming from the hills of Northern California, J*Ras of SouLifted has been consistently turning heads and opening minds across the nation with his uplifting message and high energy stage show. J*Ras had an exciting year of touring around the U.S. in 2013 performing and hosting at events including Van's Warped Tour, Reggae in the Hills Festival, Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival, Wildfire Reggae Festival, and his first National headlining tour with the SouLifted Band. He is now set to release his second solo album this summer, which is appropriately titled "Find My Way". The album is a journey through his original blend of modern roots reggae, conscious hip hop, and high energy dancehall that blend seamlessly to showcase his diverse vocal abilities and musical influences. J*Ras brings forth a refreshing new sound with a positive vibe and a message to inspire change. His hand-crafted beats and grooves are lovingly complimented with a steady flow of conscious lyrics, positive messages of personal empowerment, self-realization, and strength in the struggles of life. Lighting up the stage wherever he goes, J*Ras is an infectious performer who always gets people to dance and smile no matter what their age or musical preference.
	After growing up watching his father emcee and host countless events, it was only natural for J*Ras to pick up the microphone at a young age. His love for music showed early on and he was already performing conscious hip hop and reggae style songs as early as the fifth grade when he did his rendition of Arrested Development’s hit song “Mr.Wendell” at his elementary school’s talent show. Years later, J*Ras found his identity as an emcee and DJ in the hip hop group Hypothetically Lost Souls where he was given the name Intalect1 for his incredible ability to freestyle about anything at any moment. In 1999, at the age of fifteen J*Ras began putting together shows locally. Eventually, he joined together with his sister, international singer/songwriter J Ross Parrelli, to form the group Heart Life and Soul who began touring up and down the west coast performing at major music festivals by 2004. After one independent release with Heart Life and Soul and countless shows, J*Ras and other members of HLS combined with some of Northern California’s most talented musicians to form the band SouLifted, who released their debut album “Higher” in 2008. Today, whether performing solo or backed by the SouLifted Band, J*Ras continues to spread his positive message and love for music to audiences of all ages around the world.
	J*Ras has shared the stage with legends and current stars of many different music genres including reggae/dancehall artists Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Yellowman, Capleton, Kymani Marley, Bushman, Collie Buddz, Prezident Brown, Junior Reid, Pressure, Mykal Rose (Black Uhuru), Pato Banton, and Groundation; Hip Hop artists including Talib Kweli, Wu Tang Clan, Blackalicious, Living Legends, Lyrics Born, and more. J*Ras has performed in many different venues from elementary school demonstrations in low income neighborhoods, to clubs, special events, and music festivals of all kinds including: Vans Warped Tour, Reggae in the Hills Festival, Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival, NW World Music Festival, Bobolink Music Festival, Sierra Nevada World Music Fest, Mt. 	Recently J*Ras has begun to explore his passion for teaching and giving back to the youth in his community and the surrounding areas. He is an Artist Development Coordinator and youth mentor for the Auburn Hip Hop Congress, which is a non-profit organization that educates, motivates and inspires the youth through hip hop music and culture. The Sacramento State University alum has taught hip hop, reggae, and creative writing courses in Junior High & High Schools, organized artist development seminars, and given live demonstrations on turntables, emceeing, audio recording and more. Butterscotch, the vocal percussionist virtuosa, uses her powerful voice to defy gender and music social constructs. She began her career in the underground male-dominated beatbox battle scene, where she was crowned the world's first female beatbox champion. Butterscotch blends Hip-Hop, Jazz, Soul and Reggae and her shows are emotionally and physically invigorating with her trifecta fusion of singing, beatboxing, and playing either piano or guitar simultaneously, or creating endless layers on her loop station. With a voice reminiscent of Billie Holiday and rap verses comparable to Lauryn Hill, Butterscotch courageously sings about her love life, depression, and daily struggles of being a biracial queer woman of color. Her philanthropic mission is to empower and elevate people through music and compassion.
