40Thavha is the pseudonym of Riccardo Tavarelli, an Italian producer, remixer, composer, and songwriter born on July 24, 1973, in Loano, a town in the province of Savona, Liguria region. He began his musical career in 1998 as a ghost producer under the name Gotham Bros, contributing to notable projects such as the remix of "Children" by Robert Miles and the 1994 remix of "Strange" by Interfront. After a long period of inactivity, he returned to the scene in 2014, connecting with a Ligurian producer and talent scout from the 90s dance group Humanize, who had discovered various talents, including the well-known Italian rapper Maurizio Pisciottu.
40Thavha specializes in uplifting trance, a genre characterized by romantic and melancholic melodies. He works with DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) and virtual synthesizers, enjoys collaborating with other artists and labels in the trance scene, and was also a member of Humanize. Currently, he is active with several trance projects, as evident from his presence on platforms like SoundCloud, Beatport, and Spotify, where he releases tracks blending emotional elements with energetic sounds, often inspired by the Italian dream trance tradition. He lives in Albenga (SV) and maintains a strong connection to his Ligurian roots.

Notably, some of his tracks have been featured on Armin’s renowned radio show A State of Trance (ASOT), a platform that reaches millions of listeners and often highlights emerging or established trance talents. For instance, his track Somewhere in a Beautiful World, created in collaboration with Sandro Mireno, was named "Tune of the Week" on ASOT, a clear sign of Armin’s endorsement. This recognition from van Buuren not only validates 40Thavha’s work but also positions him among the appreciated artists in the international trance community.
