I make these kinds of songs and lock them away until it's time to revaluate. This one hit me hard. Everything I was feeling in that moment was the product of the situation that I was in. Creating separation can hurt the people around you, but holding on too long can too. The situation that you're in can distance you from your authentic self, making it impossible to provide in the way that you did before. Sometimes the best thing to do for everyone is to make the move that seems selfish. It never feels good...
