Perestroika, translated as 'restructuring', is a project headed up by producer Duncan Silvey, which has seen different members and collaborators joining him in the studio and for live shows.

Becoming a new father in 2021, his latest EP titled ‘In Aid of Vulnerability’ contains themes of transitioning into the unknown territory of parenthood, describing the mental challenges and the sheer joy the experience brings…all at the same time.

He has seen recognition from BBC Introducing in Bristol, Kent, London and BBC 6 Music. Duncan lives in south Bristol, UK.

In 2018 we added the OCTUBRE.TV Ediciones music label to our family, whose releases explore the boundaries between pop, ambient and electronic sounds with a relentless spirit for experimentation.  We release on cassette, vinyl & digitally.

This site will host some of my recordings and mix downs. Tracks are recorded through a Soundcraft GB4 into an Alesis HD24 and then mixed down in PreSonus Studio One. Many will be live, though some will be mobile recordings. Early recording, prior to September 2012 were made through an Allen & Heath GL2200 432.
