From this special place he delivered his high-octane techno game, blending bouncing, hard & groovy trax with big, warehouse anthems & at the end giving the wild night a soundtrack with a special, drill tribute, to the city’s urban sound!

You are in tuned to the EarToGround Podcast my name is Gareth Wild and it is Friday December 31st 2021. Hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and wishing you all a Happy New year for 2022. 

2021 has been an interesting year in the world of Techno as we came out of Lockdown it was quickly back to business.

Things have defiantly got a lot faster, in some cases you can question if it is even Techno anymore. Regardless, the scene seems to be thriving which is great to see. 

This month podcast number 10 I am very happy to bring you someone who has always kept it real, Voicedrone. He needs little introduction, a true legend on the scene, co founder of London’s now notorious and well established club FOLD and also an artist here on ETG. 

As a club owner Voicedrone is a rarity his relentless passion and drive to create something special with FOLD has brought together untold groups and communities from across the UK and beyond. 

First and foremost music always comes first! 

As a producer and Dj he is very capable in both counts. His sets are explosive, dark and move very tightly between styles of Electronica and Techno. Production wise his equal obsession with the sound you hear with FOLD's bespoke Sound System is also demonstrated in the studio.

Coming up in the not too distant future expect to see him up on FOLD Records as well as back on EarToGround alongside myself with remix action from Works Unit AKA Cleric and Reflec

So for this Christmas end of year special here is a brutal LIVE recoding of Voicedrone from the recent Telehaus party at FOLD.

Vergil has emerged to serve his audience some sorely needed sonic clarity. Over a lifetime of musical studies and performances in the more analogue fields of percussion, the young DJ and producer was already able to fabricate an intriguingly recognizable body of sound. Over the course of a few years the resident of Strictly Forbidden, one of Berlin’s hedonistic insider tips, has constructed and nurtured his very own vision of electronic music in his studio to serve the raving nation some serious business. Technoid sounds framed in raw textures and welted in gloomy soundscapes, creating an almost morbid atmosphere. Delicate sonic aesthetics set in strict and stringent form, pushing its audience’s heartbeats continuously straightforward.
