Ed Williams is a harpsichordist, guitarist and composer working within the interstices between early music practices, noise improvisation, experimental composition and trans*feminist aesthetics.

Rafaël Carosi est performer et compositeur de musique électronique.

Dans un premier temps, il étudie la guitare classique (Oscar Ghiglia, Gérard Abiton, Jeremy Jouve et Tania Chagnot) et suit des cours de guitare jazz à l’American School of Modern Music. 

Il étudie ensuite la musique électronique en autodidacte puis à l’université Jean-Monnet de Saint-Etienne sous la direction de Laurent Pottier. Il se diplôme au sein du Master II RIM et poursuit sa formation au sein de l’équipe RIM de l’IRCAM sous la tutelle de Serge Lemouton. Il a l’occasion de rencontrer et de suivre le travail de Philippe Manoury, Yan Maresz, Clemens Gadenstätter, José Miguel Fernandez, Alexander Schubert, Pierre Jodlowsky, Johannes Maria Staud et Bill Fontana.

En tant que musicien électronique, il s’est notamment produit à la Fondation Singer- Polignac à Paris avec l’ensemble le Balcon (direction Maxime Pascale), au Spatial Sound Institute de Budapest avec l’artiste électronique Murcof, au studio Eole de Blagnac avec le compositeur Julien Vincenot et l’artiste visuel John Bardakos, au Lieu Unique de Nantes et à la collégiale d’Angers aux cotés de la soliste Elissa Cassini et de l’artiste visuel Yves Kuperberg. Il a également participé à la création de l’Imitation du Sommeil de John Supko et travaillé avec le duo d’artistes Scenocosme pour leur installation interactive Vibrisses.

Founded in Paris in 2007 and now on a indefinite break after ~10 years of activity, the music collective Unmapped was dedicated to explore new forms of musical writing and improvisation. It was always imagined and lived by its members as a laboratory, giving particular attention to the most advanced technology and human interactivity. 

Ensemble of variable geometry, Unmapped is constituted by a dozen of permanent members from all over the world, composers and instrumentalists at the same time. 
They are often completed by collaborators from various domains : musicians, architects, video‐artists, film and theater directors, dancers and choreographers, visual artists and plasticians,...

Under various formations, Unmapped took part in concerts, festivals, performances, interactive installations and other events implying music and digital arts in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, China and the United States.
