Nemmett is an electronic music producer and dj based in Athens, Greece. He started his musical journey by playing in bands and producing home recordings. While studying music technology and sound design he slowly got into electronic music and started experimenting with foley recordings, noises, drum rhythms, sound textures and melodies. His productions as well as his sets combine different elements from abstract drones and breakbeats to melodies and heavy industrial beats. Nemmett’ s interests in music further into sound design and music composition, as he is responsible for the creation of a series of soundtracks for various video projects and theatrical plays.

The Forgotten CCLVI: Nemmett

After the adventurous 'Nemiera Gars' Ep, released last year, https://soundcloud.com/skdsc returns on Monolith Records proposing a live recording of his opening Deejay set at 'Sturmkonzert 9' in Riga, as the 38th chapter of the Monolith Podcast Series. SKD is also one of the main engines in the local industrial community centered around https://soundcloud.com/sturmlv label and events.

Sturmkonzert is an event series born from 'Sturm', which is a genuine Latvian industrial music label founded in 2000, releasing works by local artists and hosting gatherings with live performances by local and foreign acts, hailing the industrial subculture and underground electronica. 
Being rooted in the early 90's club nights, Sturm was founded in 1995 by Reno Krauklis, as an event series proposing a mix of throbbing atmospheres with the output of local noise acts and industrial DJs, often involving porn and shock performances to maximize the impact. Such strong character influenced the whole Latvian scene, inspiring an array of new artists to work in the fields of industrial and related music.  Sturm shaped the character of the Latvian industrial scene, also bringing new extremes to the Baltic region.

Knife presenta Blac Kolor, un proyecto musical del veterano DJ, promotor y diseñador gráfico Hendrick Grothe de Leipzig. Viniendo de la escena de la música corporal electrónica salvaje oriental en Alemania a principios de los 90, desarrolló y amplió continuamente los límites en una manera de mente abierta para la que muchos asistentes a la fiesta no parecían estar preparados.
Los sets de DJ influenciados de techno persuadieron a cada multitud vacilante durante varios años. Sobre el del lado del productor, en consecuencia, pensó que había algo de espacio para llenar con una nueva narrativa musical: ritmos fuertes para un mundo oscuro de sótanos sin ventanas: el sonido BK típico.
Los últimos años trajeron varios álbumes y EP en su propio sello Basic Unit Productions y también en grandes sellos tales como HANDS, aufnahme + wiedergabe y ant-zen.

Knife presents Blac Kolor, a music project by long time DJ, promoter and graphic designer Hendrick
Grothe from Leipzig. Coming from the wild eastern electronic body music scene in
Germany in the early 90s, he continuously developed & pushed the boundaries in an
open-minded way that many partygoers seemed not prepared for. His techno
influenced DJ sets persuaded every hesitant crowd for several years now. On the
producer’s side he consequently figured there is some space to be filled with a new
musical narrative: banging rhythms for a dark world of windowless basements - the
typical BK sound.
The last couple of years brought several albums and EPs on his own label Basic Unit Productions and also in great labels such as HANDS, aufnahme+wiedergabe and ant-zen.
