Unmasked launches Theoria, a new interview series focusing on vinyl labels. As first guest, we are pleased to present you Fleisch records.🩸
In the past seven years, Fleisch has become synonymous with raw body music, since its infamous debut with the release of Schwefelgelb's 'Wie Die Finger Durch Den Nebel. Born from a collective in 2014, the label has evolved throughout the years, without losing its very peculiar identity born from friendship and the imprint of like-minded individuals.

Discover this and a lot more in this interview with Alison Lewis aka Zanias, one of the two original founders of the label. She also put together an eclectic mix for us, where she played just tracks released on Fleisch for a real deep dive into the aesthetics and unique identity of the label.

UNMASKED THEORIA 01 | FLEISCH RECORDS - ZANIAS

better known as Reka, has blown up on the world stage since beginning out as a DJ more than 10 years ago. Since then, she’s become a long time resident at Tresor, embarked on a career as a producer ( her debut EP, Diving the Innermost came out on Phase Fatal’s BITE in 2018) and made the jump to Berghain. But there’s more to Mendez than being a connoisseur of all genres dark and hard-edged. In addition to being a DJ, Mendez is an entrepreneur and a science enthusiast. KEYI sat down to talk with her about her world before techno and the ways in which research and precision define her creative work and her extra musical life.

EBM, industrial, wave, drone, it’s all in there and it’s done magnificently well by Jerome Tcherneyan and Barkosina Hanusova. A couple collaboration dating back to about 2016, the two met in the London scene and almost instantly started recording together to start their project on impulse, something that seems to drive their sound through every release since. 

With increasing acclaim through each record, the two sent a message with their album on the Italian VEYL recordings ‘Suicide Disco’ that really imposed their sound internationally with tracks like ‘Face to Face’ and ‘I’m Still a Pill’ which are classics at this point.

Sarin is an audio/video and industrial technoid electronics project based out of Berlin and originally from Toronto, counting many releases in the past few years under his solo project and other collaborative projects since transitioning from his audio/video art background. Half of the projects KONKURS (with Blush_Response), Human Performance Lab (with Matt Cangiano) & Nostromo (with Unhuman). He is also the founder of X-IMG an audio/video platform focused on showcasing fresh unknown producers alongside more familiar artists all operating within the world of underground dark electronics and body-techno dystopias.
