Es la fundadora del sello discográfico con sede en Londres Khoinix y fundó su propia serie de eventos Necropolis, que tiene lugar en una antigua iglesia de 1563 en Londres. Tocó en Amsterdam, Ibiza y algunos de los clubes más populares de Londres, como Ministry of Sound y EGG London.

Le gusta experimentar con diferentes géneros y su sonido va desde pistas techno de la vieja escuela de los 90 hasta acid, dark disco, EBM, industrial y electro.

Lanzó sus producciones en la misma compilación con Arnaud Rebotini, Blush Response, Codex Empire, Crystal Geometry, Drvg Cvltvr y Minimal Syndicat.

Bringing the year to a close, there's always time for surprises! For this episode, PHYC delivers an intense 3h mix, with a very definite path from start to finish. The idea behind this recording was to create something highly energetic out of nothing, and back into nothingness again. The Portuguese DJ saw his career boost this year with international performances in Italy, Portugal and Turkey where he explored and shared his darker visions with new crowds. Grab the water bottles and get yourself captured in this 3h journey to the deep end!

SIX AM Guest Mix: PHYC

PHYC is a Portuguese DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, known for his high-energy, seamless mixing style. Starting his career in London at venues like Ministry of Sound, he later moved to Amsterdam, performing at clubs such as OT301 and Club Atelier. PHYC's sound combines raw energy with intricate craftsmanship, earning him gigs in Portugal, Italy, Turkey, and Vietnam. PHYC is also the creator of the UNNOTED podcast series. With over 50 episodes and successful events, UNNOTED has become a staple in Amsterdam’s techno scene. As a producer, PHYC has released EPs on labels like AYA SYNAPSE and Diffuse Reality, exploring everything from cosmic rhythms to dystopian dancefloor vibes. Episode 285 - PHYC

We would like to think we have served up plenty of special treats in our podcast series so far, but this latest one is certainly one that many people will get very excited about. It is not often that Detroit key-figures step out and offer us a window into their current musical world, but that is what we have here from Sherard Ingram aka DJ Stingray. Famed for many reasons—not least for always DJing in a black balaclava—he is founder of the Urban Tribe super group with KDJ, C2 and Shake, was DJ for the legendary electro outfit Drexcyia and is also a fierce DJ and producer in his own right. He came up playing tough techno and electro in hardcore motorcycle clubs in the D, but is now a regular in the world’s finest underground spaces, where he pushes a dark, intense sound that is socially and politically charged. Shades of Miami bass and ghetto tech also characterise his work on labels like Shipwreck, Bleep43, [NakedLunch] and Unknown to the Unknown, and in 2016 he is as busy and prolific as he has ever been. This summer he plays a rather exclusive back to back set with Helena Hauff at our festival in Amsterdam. 

The mix he serves up is a great snapshot of what Stingray does - forces you to dance to his high tempo, high impact sounds. He mixes them quickly and slickly and there is a real sense of urban paranoia and future menace in every tune he reaches for. Sit back, then, and bask in the glory of a real master.
