om:nia is a record label for artists we believe in to release a wide variety of music, everything from Psychedelic Jazz to Drum & Bass, threading a flow and feeling which will connect all the sonics together.

Our first release is by one of our favourite artists and genius musician, STL. We spoke to Stephan in great length about our concept and idea for the label, after some time he sent us these specific tracks. Manoeuvring along dubby and dusty grooves, with dreamy melancholic ambient textures and the epic 17 minute “Untitled Dubscape”. This record is as much to dance too in a club as it is to listen too at home.

As we approach the very last installment of the story, the greatest, final and cruelest battle between humankind and the clones is fought, just after the resistance is discovered hiding out in their underground lair. The humans were overwhelmed in numbers and outclassed in technology so the struggle was soon stifled and every rebel was brutally slaughtered until no one, but the captain, remained standing. Literally the last man on Earth burst into tears as he realized his species had been extinguished for good and he couldn't do anything to eschew it, while he was contemplating the obliterated battleground. That is even more painful than his own imminent death. He doubts for a split second, he pulls his gun from the belt and he says to himself while pushing the trigger.

- I ain't going to let those bastards finish me off...

In 2021 CLIKNO celebrates its 5th anniversary and presents with its 10th release a very special acoustic techno EP from Dr.Nojoke entitled “Muaco.
Muaco stands for Music against Corona and deals with the clubless time we are all experiencing.

When Dr.Nojoke picked up his Höfner acoustic guitar during the lockdown in spring he was looking for new inspirations. The recordings led to three brilliant poly-rhythmical tracks for a special trip far off the beaten path. 
Dr.Nojoke suggests his EP as much as a way for home-clubbing as well as a listening experience. We don´t even know, if it is techno or what, but as mostly all parts were created with acoustic guitar you may file it under acoustic techno or guitar techno.

We think it is just great groovy music - pulsating, hypnotic, danceable, kraut-ish, freaky - that should be played everywhere.

POOLcast 063 - Syntax Erika

Our second POOLcast of the year comes from Syntax Erika, who lives between Mexico and Barcelona. For over 7 years she has been studying and working on projects in the contemporary electronic music and media landscape. 

Syntax Erika belongs to the latest generation of artists who do not limit their creative work to the boundaries of one medium. Those who understand art as a hybridization of all senses and demands just that from the audience. Programming is done here, moving images are generated, synthesizers are recorded and music is played as well as created live. Everything that is technically allowed and possible nowadays is explored, studied, exploited and presented for creative expression. Musically that means Dark Ambient, industrial drones, Art-Techno, noise and synthesizer experiments. For her POOLcast she has arranged an interesting mixture of contemporary experimental music to an always emotional mixtape. Natural sounds are mixed with synthetic noises, ambient is permeated by ethereal vocals and Musique Concrete experiments come in all colors and temperatures.

POOLcast 063, for those who didn't have Erika on their list yet, gives a very good picture of her musical world, which you can discover either on her own label Ambient Flux or with the released Syntax Network EP on the Japanese female label GARDIANNN.
