Bizarro Records returns to its Australian roots for three functional tracks from Eora/Sydney local Eastern Distributor with a remix from Montreal prodigy Maara. Drawing heavily from the psychedelic influences of our country’s bush doof scene, ‘State of Equilibrium’ alludes to trance and techno relics of the past whilst accelerating into a hybrid psy-tek sound. 

‘Affinity’ delivers a functional, peak-time psychedelic motion, ebbing and flowing into dark resonant euphoria. ‘Balance’ sticks closer to the modern domestic sound; an upbeat, bubbling tech-house influenced track, presenting a futuristic psy take on a sound marking contemporary dancefloors. The third track ‘Endorphin’ is without doubt a bouncing techno tool, infinitely ascending from powerful low-frequency buzz to progged-out elation. The EP comes to a close with a taste of Maara’s signature sound - characterizing her take on ‘Endorphin’ with an irresistible dancefloor oriented bassline, filled with the angelic pads that define her discography.

Amniote Editions teams up with Mala Junta to release “The Collective Capsule” in celebration of 5th anniversary of Berlin’s favourite queer event.

“The Collective Capsule” is a celebration and tribute to the unique Mala Junta and it’s impact on Berlin’s vibrant contemporary queer scene as well as a reflection of the core principles of these two collectives, which serve as a mirror for the society we want to push forward.

The package features a 12″ vinyl record composed of 4 tracks from Mala Junta’s residents Hyperaktivist, Yazzus, DJ Tool, and D.Dan, as well as two compilations featuring Roza Terenzi, Jensen Interceptor, Mohajer, Peachlyfe, Francois X, Narciss to name a few..

The Collective Capsule Compilation Vol. 1 emerges on Amniote Editions on 23rd June.
