'Obscure Faces' is an experimental ambient project made with phrases & ideas I have created over the past few years. These tracks are centered around the use of hardware synthesis to evoke a strong sense of emotion.

This debut album is a reflection of a point in time and a direct insight of my own experiences and thoughts, let these tracks resonate with you too.

Formation

satanwave - Death Garden

This assignment fitted with the track I was working on at the time, a single-take improv on a recent Naviar Haiku Challenge track. I simply added some reverb to mask a couple of misjudged moments and a “space” version courtesy of Abstract Chamber. I enhanced the fade-in and fade-out which were a bit faint.

The title is from Ray Bradbury’s “The Fog Horn”

“I'll make me a sound and an apparatus and they'll call it a Fog Horn and whoever hears it will know the sadness of eternity and the briefness of life."

No need for introduction when it comes to https://soundcloud.com/naturalelectronicsystem Originally from Naples, the duo has been playing in the most reputed festivals and clubs worldwide from Labyrinth to Paral-lel Festival, providing always acclaimed productions with a big respect of a large fan base.  On this fourth instalment of my residency, I’m hosting half of the duo, friend Valerio Gomez de Ayala for a journey into some of his favorite ambient records, he doesn’t use to play in clubs. I’m on the first hour, Valerio the second.

Back at the end of the ’90s, Valerio started to collect techno, IDM, ambient, experimental, house and electronic music records from all over the world. In the early ’00, he had the opportunity to work in a local club in the Vesuvian area where he had to play very Mainstream music, but training also himself in the meantime hours before the party or when the club was closed by recording tapes with music he liked. Following this very first experience, he finally had the opportunity to buy his own turntables and improved his technic. 
Then, in 2004 , he started with his high school friend and musical soulmate, Antonio Giova , the natural/electronic.system. project in order to express their personal idea of sound. 

Next for duo, Mediterranea EP on Tikita which will hit the stores this month. They are also preparing an upcoming EP on Delsin, one of their all time favorite labels and are working on lot of music right now.

1.このミックスはどちらで収録したものですか？

僕の新しいスタジオで収録したよ。

2.コンセプトがあれば教えてください。

最近ベルリンで買ったMove DとPete Namlookの『Stranger』という素晴らしいトラックをミックスの始まりに使いたくて、その次の曲はLawrenceから貰ったGieglingからリリースされる彼の新しいEPのプロモの曲を使っているんだ。『Stranger』との曲の相性がすごく良くてね。だから、既にポッドキャストの始まりは決まっていたんだ。その後は、終わりに向けて徐々にビルドアップさせていった。ディープで遅めだけどエネルギーのあるトラックを上手く1時間のミックスに入れ込むことができたと思っているよ。

3.最近の活動を教えてください。

最近は友達とパリ郊外に新しくスタジオを作ったよ。今までこんなに良い環境で制作できたことはなかったから、非常に嬉しいんだ。だから、今後は制作活動に注力を注いでいくよ。いくつかのトラックは既にレーベルに送っているから、近々リリース出来るといいな。まあ実は既にChloéのレーベルのLumière Noireからリリースが決まっているんだけど、まだ詳細を告知するのは早すぎるかな。後は、Dialの20周年パーティーを2月にパリのLa Stationで開催するんだけど、それの準備をしているかな。絶対いいパーティーになると思うから、今から楽しみだね。

When forlorn and monochrome, our external and internal worlds must be opposed with color and depth to regain their brilliance. This is something our next guest, Justine Perry, does extremely well. Her capacity to carefully contrast atmospheres and build a narrative has earned her slots in some of the best clubs around Europe. While making her home in Berlin, she has become a resident with Art Bei Ton, where she has contributed passionately to create inclusive and stimulating events. Impressed as we were with her psychedelic and deeply mesmeric style, we thought she would be a perfect addition to our winter series. With a mix that tunnels deep into the different caverns of the mind, she once again returns brilliance to our grey externalities.

"An invitation to Relax"

For our fourth podcast we welcome Adhémar. A very talented French artist whose work you'll have heard on Oslated and Aarden records.

Please read his note :) 

"This recording is an invitation to relax  and relieve any tensions. 
You can follow the instructions below. 
Stay in Shavasana for as long as you want - let go !
Lie flat on the back with the arms about 15 cm away from the body, palms facing upward.
A thin pillow or folded cloth may be placed behind the head to prevent discomfort. A rolled up blanket can be placed under the knees, heels still touching the ground, to relieve low back tension. 
Let the fingers curl up slightly.
Move the feet slightly apart to a comfortable position and close the eyes.
The head and spine should be in a straight line.
Make sure the head does not fall to one side or the other.
Relax the whole body and stop all physical movement. 
Become aware of the natural breath and allow it to become rhythmic and relaxed".
