"risking ! everything ! to facilitate lasting and meaningful change in a fundamentally unjust society"  You're talking about the boys that took Omaha Beach in '44 right? They've risked (and lost in many cases) everything.  Shouting and fighting with the police doesn't quite compare. Don't get me wrong the music is great, what's happening now is extremely serious but whoever wrote the text likes to exagerate quite a bit.... and to state that the society today is fundamentally unjust is insulting to the majority of us who are NOT racist. I would say it's more unjust because 1% have 99% of the wealth. Enough with this rant :-), can't wait for the album to come out.

Life After Awareness is the beginning of an inner search that finds its expression in a collection of ten soundtracks that produce very profound changes on the emotional states of each of us.
Field recordings and soothing frequencies form the backdrop for dreamlike symphony of strings, woody bass notes and plinking tones. In some tracks, the billowing ambience is free to drift like curls of smoke,
in others it is anchored by delicate pulses of percussion. Thanks to all the artists who contributed in this first edition.

As the transient summer solstice has reached its peak we now stand on the summit of life as our nurturing mother is beaming with bliss and exuberance. The slumbering winter cold feels like a distant myth as light reigns our northern lands. We are pleased to honor this joyful moment by presenting to you and the divine Sun our tenth elixir.

'Skärvor av din helhet skimrar genom allt' [transl.. 'Shards of your wholeness shimmers through everything'] by Toffes Värld (formerly known as Kris Dubinsky) is a tale in which familiar environments are permeated by mystery as a crackling perception of reality awakens from the campfire. When the winds arise, our sails rise with it, taking us drifting deep into ourselves while the fire struggles to keep us warm and safe. But the winds are strong.

As we are washed up at the end of the river, exhausted by the long and uncanny journey that took us so far beyond, we're received by the comfort of our rising sun. Rising with it on to our feet we recognize suddenly where we truly belong and the memories of the bizarre vistas of yesterday will forever be there to remind us.

In times such as these, it is imperative that we swiftly come together as a community to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and amplify the voices of the unheard. The time for action is now, and musicians have a responsibility to acknowledge and pay tribute to the rich heritage of the music we hold so dear. Therefore the Unrush team has asked friends and collaborators to contribute some stunning musical works to the first edition of The Unrush Files. Entitled "Rush of Communion", this various artists compilation embodies a collective effort to support those who are fighting at the front lines, risking everything to facilitate lasting and meaningful change in a fundamentally unjust society. 

All proceeds from this compilation will be donated to the Detroit Justice Center, which is a national nonprofit organization that pays bail for people in need, reuniting families and restoring the presumption of innocence. This essential work can not be understated, as police have arrested more than 10,000 peaceful protesters who were speaking out against systemic racism in response to the killing of George Floyd. It is only when we work together, by both looking inwards and lending our efforts outwards, that we can begin to manifest a new world built on the principles of equality and justice.
