The Silence Before the Scream
A thousand ages ago, when the gods still walked among men, there was a priestess named Ilargi, born under the longest eclipse ever recorded. Her name meant "moon" in the language of the winds, and her power was to hear the thoughts of the stars.
Ilargi served at the temple of Zilarra, where the stars were invoked to guide the people. But the kings of the surface, fearful of her influence, betrayed her. They accused her of conjuring shadows and cast her into the abyss of the forgotten.
The Oath Beneath the Earth
In the darkness, Ilargi did not die. She was transformed. Fueled by the hatred of the unjustly damned, her body turned to obsidian, and her soul merged with the black moon that orbits beyond time.
She swore that her revenge would not be swift, but eternal.
“I will not destroy their bodies. I will make their names vanish like dust in the wind.”
The Return: Blood in the Sky
Every century, when the moon turns red, it is said that Ilargi awakens. The cities that betrayed her temple suffer strange losses: libraries burn without fire, genealogies are erased, songs are forgotten.
There are no screams. Only silence.
For her vengeance is not against the flesh, but against memory.
The Last Prophecy
It is said that when someone speaks her name in pure song, without fear or hatred, Ilargi will calm down.
But until then, each eclipse is a reminder: The moon does not forget. It only waits.
