First: I’m shy. That’s why it took me so many years to put something out there because I turn into an ultra-perfectionist about everything, so that slows the process down. As time went on what I was listening to got more and more varied, and my constant struggle was ‘how am I going to fit everything into one set?’. And this is the result, for those who think it’s all over the place -- maybe it’s meant to be that way. It’s not perfect, but I’m trying to let go of perfection. Big ups to my homies (you know who you are) for encouraging, supporting, and teaching me over the years. This is for you - and I hope there’s points in there where you can hear how you influenced the vibe

Un:cast 03 - DJ Zurückbleiben Bitte

I recorded this mix in the last days before the second lockdown towards the end of 2020, in the company of my dear Un:seen co-founders. The second lock-down, this time in the pitch darkness of the Berlin winter, was fast approaching and I was trying everything in my scarce resources to fight against the depression around the corner. Therefore, I picked all the tracks that brought me euphoria, making me move my body in light. Now that we're in the midst of the 4th wave, and the clubs are closing again this week, I wanted to revisit the feelings I had last year and share it in the name of resilience. We've survived last winter; here's to another winter we'll get through together and apart.

Rayne is a Berlin-based DJ and producer from Turkey. As a DJ and resident of Root Radio (@rootradiolive), she has been active in Berlin's independent electronic music scene with her adventurous sets since 2020. She recently released her debut EP "Diyar", which weaves together the disparate threads of Rayne's eclectic and ever-expanding musical world. We hope you enjoy this journey into her world!
