When Jackson Church won Japan’s Who’s Next songwriting contest in 2009, his self-written and produced song “Waiting For You” was featured on Tokyo’s biggest radio station, 84.7 FM Yokohama, along with a televised interview with the station’s talk hosts. Since then, Jackson has contributed original music to non-profit organizations and has worked with various music producers on writing projects including Cody Simpson, MTV, and several up-and-coming artists. His steadfastness paid off when he received honorable mentions in the international competition Song of The Year and the USA Songwriting Competition, whose collective recipients include Meghan Trainor, American Authors, and Matthew Koma. Jackson is known as a top-line pop songwriter and producer with influences from artists, writers, and producers including Queen, Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee, and Ryan Tedder.
