"Aww yea! This time with Kurnel MC and Isabel Drake at their side, Captain Flatcap are back with an all-new, all-encompasing, genre-busting EP - 'Squelchedelic Sounds'. The flavours of swing-garage in ‘In My Blood’ and swing-funk in ‘Let's Have Some Fun!’ make for two dirty DJ gems, guaranteed to get any crowd moving like puppets on strings! ‘Bong Hits From A Preacher Man’ is a creative and glitching collage of various classic soul, hip-hop, dub (and a certain smokeable something!) styles and samples! To finish, 'Rat Race' shows off the best of Isabel Drake's smooth and soulful voice, accompanied by some deep and organic instrumentation and bass roars! As you'd expect the EP is tied cohesively together by parading a multitude of familiar Flatcap instruments, including the distinctive flute and trumpet parts."

In the last couple of years, London's SHERELLE (@iamsherelle)has torn through the dance music world like a tornado. Everything she does is high speed and high impact, from what she mixes to the way she mixes it. Her dizzying mix of footwork, jungle and drum & bass has breathed new life into the 160bpm scene and got people all over Europe in a spin. As well as solo work, she plays as part of the 6 Figure Gang and runs the Hooversound Recordings label with Naina while also championing all things leftfield on her BBC Radio 1 residency. 

Of course, her 80 minute mix for us is pure fire, a bumping ride through thrilling kick patterns, shimmering toms and drilling bass. It's underpinned with a constant sense of tension that keeps you utterly on the edge of your seat and variously explodes into life, or pulls back to a moment of unsettling calm. It tells the story of a rich history of UK music, but with a fresh perspective that makes it all the more vital.

[dunkelbunt dj mix] - Good morning SUNSHINE

Ahmed El Ghazoly aka ZULI, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sound artist from Cairo, Egypt. He is co-founder of VENT, a music venue turned club night that played an important role in the rise of the city’s underground electronic music scene. His debut album Terminal was released to great acclaim on Lee Gamble's UIQ label. He recently dropped One, a sound collage including his first new music in two years as well field recordings from Cairo, encapsulating a city under curfew during the pandemic. 
His wild, euphoric DJ set at Unsound 2019 took place at a very different time, in Hotel Forum's Chandelier Room in the early morning, packed with dancers. ZULI describes it as "treading the line between experimental and dancefloor drum sounds".
